What I love about Miley is that she is indeed a pure woman who doesn't hide who she is. A lot of young tween gets into a phase where you just feel like you're a "wrecking ball". Grown up, physically, hormonally, but still a kid as well. You want to get rid of the idea people had of you when you were a kid, sweet and innocent. And you just rebel and mess up your own life. Then after some years you finally start maturing and pulling yourself back together. Another change. And most times you come to a point where you are much closer to the girl you used to be but a more mature version. I think this process a lot you see a lot with tweens. Went through it myself too. And I recognize that in Miley. The difference between Miley and me is that I am not in the spotlights.

If only I always believed that. But then becoming a young adult wouldn't allow me to do it. Until now because for the last seven years until this song came out, I didn't want anything to do with Miley or her family again except her godmother Dolly. I really dig this song! But maybe its because I understand EXACTLY what she is saying in her words and I can relate to it. People freaked the hell out when she was literally being a teenager and learning about life and herself in FRONT of billions of people. Can you imagine the pressure of that? It is really amazing she did not fall into harder drugs so thank gosh she loved weed! It needs to be noted that she really did nothing that millions of people do at bars/clubs/parties(whatever you may do) every weekend when she twerked and danced on Robin Thicke and started the "what happened to Miley?" craze! She exudes kindness and an old spirit and I can't wait to see what she does later. Go Miley!!!!! #mileycyrus #youngernow #miley

To everyone confused about the video, shes paying homage to her old music videos as well as Elvis Presley. Some that are referenced are: "Start all over" 0:11 - 0:39 "The Climb" 0:40 - 0:48 "Cant be tamed" 1:33 -1:35 , 1:49 "We can't stop" 0:49- 0:55 "Party in the USA" 1:07 - 1:18 Elvis : 2:00 - 2:04 and then all over again.

I feel like her hair is symbolic for her change. Like when she was going through the wrecking ball stage, she had blonde hair obviously, and now it's like the 'real' her is shining through - hence the dark roots that are growing out. That's the real Miley, not the image we knew her as

This song perfectly describes Miley’s many image re-inventions throughout her career. She’s been Hannah Montana, the rebel with no f***s to give, the stoner, the seductress, the party girl - but at the end of the day, she’s just Miley. And even though those other personas might not be who she truly is, she has no shame or regrets about her past. Miley is truly one of a kind 💘
