couldnt help but notice that while lines that were repeated twice in the original (Ex: “Why did you leave?”) were only said once here while the line “You’re my everything” was repeated twice here when it was only sung once in the original. this rendition really emphasized the regret and despair Xiao experienced. keep up the good work, Mili!

Turning on the caption you can notice that "you're my everything" is put in quotes which implies that it was Xiao's lover who actually said that where the repeat is Xiao herself saying it back to her lover.

I felt shivers when I heard the “you’re my everything” line repeat twice, I feel like this line was super important for many reasons, one being that it’s not repeated twice in the original and two being because no other line in this version repeats twice and three being because it seems to be the line that captures a majority of xiao’s emotions

In strictly Ruina terms, this one makes me think of two things. Original Iron Lotus is angry and triumphant, Xiao loudly proclaiming her intentions to her foes with nothing but rage and resolve, so this is either Distorted Xiao's theme, with the same feelings but bathed in sadness and loss instead of rage and determination, or Xiao's theme once she wins. After burning down the Library, there's nothing left. She can't bring back Lowell like this. Nothing can. Xiao takes the books of her friends and staggers into the street, without an association or a friend, with only fire to serve her.

You could think it by the fact of Xiao mourning Lowell's death. The fact that Lowell is dead means he's also free, whereas Xiao is bound to the pains of the world that Lowell succumbed to. It's a really sad thought. I know you said it almost a year ago, but I'd still love to have a reply if you'd like.

Her superiors in Liu had by then ordered her to back off and leave the Library to the Hana Association, and Xiao was (from the perspective of other senior fixers) acting shamefully recklessly and emotionally compromised. That subordinate was saying that even if she survived, her career in Liu would be over, and at best Liu would be constantly at her heels and ruining any future endeavors for the rest of her life.

The boss battle where this theme song is composed for in Library Of Ruina is the most memorable fights in the game for me, especially with the story and relationship with the characters that packed along with fight. Being able to listen to this version while recalling the experience from the blind run brings back the weight of realization, crumbling down, that the world within Project Moon's games isn't any different from our real world―it was blindingly burning bright, a flame full of passion that slowly spends our life as long as it continues ablaze within us. Humankind is beautiful yet tragic existence.
