They fucking struck this album straight out of the ball park in terms of expectations. Each and every time a song finished it felt as if my soul had been raised to nirvana, only to find that the euphoria would continue or heighten to greater levels. Now that it's over I only feel..... empty. It's going to take a good week or month to figure out which song is my favorite, but straight after listening to the premiere, I think birthday kid had the biggest impact on me. Mostly because of the fact that out of their songs it's the first I learned on piano. I've been listening to Mili since early highschool, and now that I'm in university it's become something quite dear to me. To the wonderful people behind Mili, thanks.

mili's key ingredient is definitely love. I remember finding this band through an old friend in high school freshman year, and he introduced me to the game Deemo, where I found nine point eight. I was absolutley entranced by the music and story telling, so I dove more into their album miracle milk, mag mell and their funny food related songs. As they got more emotional and deep with their lyrics I related to them more, especially as relationships broke off and I was figuring out my life. But even if the lyrics was depressing, the melodies were always bright. That duality always kept me balanced. After 6 years I am still vibing to this amazing indie band. Can't believe it's been 10 years... This album is a fitting celebration. Key engridient, the name of the album is a play on the piano, and a food joke. Mili's lyrics love involving food. The piano is also important in Mili's history. When it was still only 1 man, Yamato Kasai, he made piano arrangements that would someday become lyrical compositions brought to life by everyone's favorite vocalist momocashew. Most of the tracks in the album are actually those tracks that used to only be piano... This is so awesome. Here's to another year or 10 more of fantastically depressing and maybe mouth-watering kinky music!!!
All of these are just beautiful. What a treat. But that "From a Place of Love", though. I can't stress enough how hard that hit me.

I love this album so much, the more I listen to the songs the more I love them more. I was so happy when I heard RTRT, as it got me into your guys's music. A really beautiful album

While i didnt expect the songs to all be slower, almost somber arrangements compared to their originals, i cant deny that they are all a joy to listen to! i found Mili through Ruina, but after checking out the rest of their songs ive fallen in love and i cant stop coming back every so often to binge their music, these songs will CERTAINLY be added to that list. happy anniversary Mili and congrats on the 10 years, heres to many more!
