I used to park my truck at love's truck stop in yuma , it was like a free airshow, 2 f35s went over me so low I almost sh*t my drawers

Question... Is it an active base or it’s like 6 or 10 planes a day? I want to go plane spotting there too

Not the busiest base I've been to, but it was fairly active. It's very easy to spot by sitting in the fairgrounds parking lot which is right under the final approach path. If you're in the area you can also go to Imperial airport for military helos and NAF El Centro.
