I'm not going to let my house burn down just to stick it to Marx... That said, this has nothing to do with economic philosophy. If he had made an effort to reserve some of them specifically for those on the list that have cash in-hand, people wouldn't care. Could have even tacked-on 10-20% and it wouldn't be the shit-show it is now... He could have sold them on his personal site for a reasonable profit and this wouldn't have blown up; dude never should have called the gunbroker scalpers out in Feb if he was going to turn around and do the exact same thing. take the security door, because 1. its cheaper and seems by your rating give you almost as much protection 2. as another person mentioned you can use it as a bunker too, as you can lock yourself in it 3. you got to open one safe from the side, right? if not you could still open it through the side just to see what it takes, then use it in your normal room as a decoy by srewing it to the wall. so if someone breaks in, the safe is the more obvious target than the security door.

Make a double door system. Have a normal looking door on the outside, which hides the funky looking vault door behind it.
@aaron.from.winchester67443 жыл бұрын
Pick door A. If they are trying to break in it, they already know it’s a safe room/gun vault. So the looks of the door won’t matter.
@usarchitects3 жыл бұрын
Go with the door that has the similiar security level of your walls, that's how I design secure spaces. By the way you can buy bullet resistant wall panels to substitute drywall or sheathing for interior applications, they come in various threat levels, if you use them I think the vault door would make sense.
@chrisinghram91813 жыл бұрын
You can always go with the vault door and build a door to camouflage it That's always an option or just go with the security door

It’s pretty straightforward, cut off any new people from putting their name on the list. Contact the first ~50 people, tell them it’s time to pay or the next in like on the list will take your place. Rinse and repeat until all of the people on the list have gotten their rifle or at least were afforded their opportunity to get their rifle. MAC and Copper Custom is making this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Security door and a pre made Murphy door that looks like a shelf or mirror. Would be about the cost of the vault door but would increase the cool factor.

What MAC said in one comment on Facebook: "We figured the backlash for just listing them at MSRP would be worse. I was wrong and I accept that failure completely and apologize. but it was not intended to take advantage of anyone." My response: Copper Custom Armament and yet you did. You did everything wrong you possibly could. Don't the right thing and being honorable doesn't mean what you do after you get caught but what you do when no one is watching. You showed your colors. Personally, I hope they sue your business and you personally. **Update: He said a lawsuit would vindicate him.

Nothing wrong with the Gunbroker model but it has allowed the equivalent of ticket scalping to flourish in this crazy market. Guys are picking up desirable firearms as soon as they show up at local gun stores and immediately listing them. It's happening at both local independents that I frequent. One of the owners told me it's really depressing when they know that they could be making more money by just listing the AKs, Scars etc on Gunbroker. They are committed to serving local gun owners and work hard to procure inventory. He is now considering taking down his website that shows real time inventory since he rather sell the new Zastava M70 to a local in 3 days than having in snapped up within 2 hours from a guy 80 miles away who tells him after the sale that he's dumb and could get $400 more at auction.
@chriskelly5093 жыл бұрын
If it was my gun shop I'd wait 7 days after getting said gun before listing it on my website. Let the locals have a chance.

Security Door. You have done well with your security layers by incorporating camera's, alarms, and dogs. It is going to take a very motivated and very skilled individual to break into that room with either door choice so I'd go the cheaper route and buy more ammo.

for the door . remember on James Bond , M's office had 2 doors. maybe do something like that. put a regular locked door outside , build a short "hallway" just enough to put the other door . be even better if the "vault" door opened to the inside so you could put them closer together . outside door swung out , inside swung in. just a thought. as for Mac , what was it that they used to call those types ? carpetbaggers ? the google definition looks right.
