Very cool video! I’ve heard a lot of good stories from track friends serving at the Air Force Academy! Was heavily considering in going to West Point but I don’t pass medically Thanks for the great vids and helpful insights 🙌 Would love to see these coach interviews with schools like Notre Dame, Liberty, and Duke!

Hey Kyle, I love your channel and have been an avid watcher for a while. I'm wondering what are the minimum times for being recruited to most d1 swim teams for highschool seniors. I have goal times in mind for myself, but I'm not sure what times I could improve to make myself more competitive for recruiting. I might just go to my local YMCA to redo a lot of events for swimcloud😂.

Hey, I am 16, currently half past my junior year in high school. I am looking forward to get recruited into a D1 school, but I fear that my times are too slow. I've been 39.8 in a 50m Free (long course and 46.7 in a 50m Breast (long course). I have just recently started focusing into competitive swimming just like a few months ago. But I have dropped over 15 seconds in both the strokes mentioned above. Is it possible for me to get recruited in a good D1 scool?

While it would seem difficult for someone with those times to get in, it is still very possible. However, you would have to make sure your grades are very competitve and you are apart of many clubs and activities, just to balance the swimming times. It also comes down to your letters to the school. You can sway your chance for the better or worse by a lot with those essays. Also, the times may not get you into a d1 team, but if you get into the school you can join their club team (most have one) to improve your times so you can join the main team the following year.
