Great info! Military combat helmets are a big part of my collection. I've actually purchased a few things from you. I'm the Canadian guy you sold stuff to from time to time. Cheers, Erik Anderson

@20:52~You're forgetting a 3rd War time manufacturer during WW2: Parish-Reading Manufacturing Company, which made a very limited number of M1 helmets. There would be a 'P' on the side above one of the bales.

yeah, but theyre quite rare as they never got into regular production. probably only a couple thousand made.

Good video with a lot of helpful info. PS, need part 2 of your helmet collection. That was a great video also.

Is "little clippy things" actual military nomenclature?

Yes- "LCT" is the acronym. : )

Thus endith the lesson! I thought the euro clone helmets were magnetic?
@militarycollectiblesshop2 жыл бұрын
Yea I figured 41 minutes was long enough- But we'll do a part II. You could be right on the magnetism thing- I just look at the other points as I rarely have a magnet handy when I need one!

anywhere you can! You can start with a repainted one, or one missing chinstraps- those can be had for less money.

It was not uncommon for paratroopers to cut the a-yokes out of their liners after they jumped. I recently traded my early Inland M2 liner with them cut out and in much worse condtion, it sold for $1k! I'm always looking for M1's and liners, do you have any that are in stock currently? I see a few on the website. Great video as always gents!

Thanks- I have a pile of helmets and liners that we need to go through- but it is a "fall" project, and we are trying to finish our "summer" projects! : D

I've still got my helmet from the early 1970s. I don't know anyone who ever used the chin strap.

I think that was meant as a criticism - If so please remember that (as stated) this was just meant to be "the basics" for new collectors.
