In Berlin blühen die Krokusse schon! Da braucht man bei uns die nächsten 3 Wochen noch nicht mit zu rechnen! Schöner voller Klang beim Einmarsch! Karabiner satt aufgesetzt! The entry of the German honor guard must be one the grandest in the world. Normally it is tri series or 4 series in USA for foreign leader but it seems it is only Army is represented

It depends on the guest's rank. Presidents and kings get army AND navy AND air force - it's called honorary battalion. Prime ministers, ministers of defense or chief of defense only get one of it: army OR navy OR air force. It's called honorary company. The decision is made at our MoD's protocoll unit. A commander of the army gets army, a chief of defense or other get a unit comparing to the history or the biggest part of the forces in his country. Example: If UK's prime minister is visiting, army is possible because it is the biggest part of UK forces. Navy is possible because of the maritime history. Air force is possible because of a famous air fight in WW2.
