Which is weird when it's the mother that's gone. I'm a military brat with children that joined the military. I've seen how the men are welcomed back and the females fight to get back to family afterwards. Breaks my heart as I've watched this from my own mother to, now, my own daughters. My father was valued and my son was welcomed yet.. my daughters struggled to be accepted back by their peers and own children.

Absolutely the most genuine feelings/reactions coming from these mothers ❤ As a man, a father, and a son that has come home from Afghanistan, I guess I never thought about being someone's baby boy returning from war. I can only imagine how I'd feel if my baby boy was returning to me.

Baby boy or baby girl... As that mother of 3 military children let me tell ya !!! I'm a military brat but, the greatest gift is seeing your baby after a year long worry!!!

Also.. It's weird I showed the grandchildren their "dad" pictures and I did the same for "Mom" pictures while they were deployed.... Each child was okay with Dad being gone but, was stepping back and not accepting Mom being gone. This really needs tested and figured out. Why is a Dad being gone okay and a Mom being gone (same reason) not okay vin a very little ones Brain. Society needs this testing.

A mom’s love for her child wether that child is grown or not will never die. I’m a proud mom of 2 young adults and every time I get the chance to see them I treasure the time.

I have the utmost respect for these mothers! 2 of my family members served in the military and I have one child who’s about to turn 18 and he often tells me that he’s signing up for the marines and my heart sinks each time wether he’s serious or not because I would be holding my breath until he returned to me … so much respect for these mothers and I keep you in my prayers ❤

I feel the same way, because my daughter is in High School ROTC, and loves ♥️s it. •Now she says she wants to enlist in the Air Force after High School graduation, so she can travel & serve the country. • It makes me SO-OOO SAD 😥😢to think she will be far away from me (but yet proud to know she wants to serve). •She still has 2 years left in HS, but sometimes I cry now just thinking about her leaving. 🙏🏾🙏🏾GOD HELP & BLESS US ALL WHEREVER WE ARE IN THE WORLD.🙏🏾🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾I PRAY FOR WORLD PEACE.🙏🏾🙏🏾 AMEN.
