What is it like in the reserves?
@saborina153 жыл бұрын
@@BenjaminDavis104 tbh it depends on the unit. My unit is a mixture of strict and relaxed, I'm currently in a MP unit so it can be a bit....rough. as much as I am an engineer, MP and ENG don't really get along as much because of the MOS cultures. As far as the reserves as a whole, like I said previously its a mixture depending on the unit. I enjoy the reserves because 1. Its 1 weekend per month and 2-3 weeks during the summers 2. A more controlled environment of how to get into the military while in the comfort of being close to home 3. You still get the benefits (not as much as active but at least you still get them) 4. If you want to be more active, you can "volunteer" for active assignments whenever you want while still maintaining a civilian life. I would personal say that choosing the reserves first before active was a great way for me because it gave me multiple opportunities to complete college, start learning how to be independent, and figure out my was of if I want the military to be a full time career or not. And it was better because it was done at my own pace rather than the pace of the army (army keeps rolling along and it may roll along alot faster than how a person can keep up) I really hope this helps🙏👍

How is bootcamp and AIT for prior service Soldiers? Is it the same or different for everyone? I have been out for 5 years, I have to redo everything all over again.

My husband is a prior service marine, heavy equipment operator and wants to be a 12N. Any advice or tips on getting the job?
@NielUnscripted4 жыл бұрын
Julia Mullins if he likes the job go for it, if not don’t . Rn it’s hard to get promoted & according to numbers we are over strength but at work it sure doesn’t feel that way .

Pray you don’t get Delta Co. for AIT 💯
@jazmine42994 жыл бұрын
I was in Delta Co. 554 in Ft. Leonardwood and I was almost miserable every single day because of the loud ass speaker at 4am every single morning. And you would get absolutely no freedom to do anything except weekends but sometimes you're only given like 4 hours to leave but you have to be back at a certain time depending if you have a Phase 4 or 5 pass.

Hey! I’m a 12n❤️💪🏾‼️💯 Do you get your cdl for this mos?
@jazmine42994 жыл бұрын
Nope! I'm a 12N and you do not. That's something you can eventually get once you're out of the military and go to school for it probably. But you don't just get a CDL for being a 12N.
