Great video and nice to have a veteran/agent perspective on the Tampa Bay area. One thing I did not know initially but is very helpful to Veterans relocating here is Veterans who are Florida residents and were honorably discharged with a 100% service-related Total and Permanent disability are eligible for a total exemption from ad valorem taxes on the property they own and use as their homesteads. You still must pay non-ad valorem such as some services such as trash pickup and CDD fees which are rolled up into non-ad valorem taxes. Other benefits include veteran property tax exemptions, state employment preferences, education and tuition assistance, vehicle tags, as well as hunting and fishing license privileges.
