Major Wale Ademoyega not Colonel Victor Banjo was the only Yoruba master minder in the January 16, 1966 coup.

Brigadier Babafemi Ogundipe was the second in command to Maj. Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi, after the coup that toppled Ironsi, Ogundipe refused to be the Head of State because the few Northerners in the Army refused to take order from him and he left the country for the UK, when Gowon took the helm, he made Brig. Ogundipe, Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, he held the post for four years (1966-1970) when he left public service. He died in 1971 from a heart attack at the age of 47 years (1924-1971).

Then, there were only two Federal universities in Nigeria, Universities of Ibadan and Lagos, headed by Ibos. The other two were owned by the Regional governments i.e university of Ife and Ahmadu Bello University,they were headed by indigines of the respective regions.

Apologies to Comrade Dam on the observation made by Mr. Dele Adeyanju relating to the Decree promulgated by the Agunyi Ironsi military junta. Comrade Dam made a little mistake when he referred the law used by the Agunyi Ironsi as Constitution rather than Decree. It was evident that Comrade Dam knew the correct answer to Mr. Dele's observation but the Comrade was not ready to accept the defeat. For any future discussion like this, Comrade Dam you always trying to accepting any observation or correction make by anyone on his lectures. The Comrade should know that he wouldn't have lost nothing if he accepted any observation from anyone on his lectures.

Very vital informations are not always well presented by Comrade whenever he appears on your programme. He mixes up facts and in the process fall into great errors whenever marshaling his points. It was on the 5th day of May, 1967 when Gowon announced the creation of 12 states and these are; North-Western State, North-Eastern state, Kano State, North-Central State, Benue-Plateau State, Kwara State, Western State, Lagos State, Mid-Western State, Rivers State, South-Eastern State, and East-Central State. There were nothing like Ondo, Oyo, Ogun States as at that time. It was only on the 13th February, 1976 when Gen. Murtala Mohammed, who was the then Head of state, announced the creation of 19 states and which gave birth to Ogun, Oyo and Ondo states. These were the only states carved out from the then Western State. Always try to draw the attention of your guest speaker to this response whenever you have any subsequent interview involving the same person. Our children are watching this programme and it won't serve history right when they are being fed with wrong record. Thank you.

Comarade, I think JTU ironsi tried his best to pacify the northern, he promoted murtala to the provisional post of Lt Colonel (even tou not ripe), made Gowon chief of staff, and made keep members of his security network northern (albeit xitian officers) His mistakes were the unification degree and more grievously his not court martial in culprit...bt he continually promised to do so, the northern however can not wait sny further
