Love my Corpsman pack, definitely high speed because of it's slim/tall profile, wears/carries beautifully light or heavy and I love the load lifter straps which you don't usually get on a military pack. I got a brand new one someone had in their closet off of Ebay and didn't know what they had. There was also a SealLine waterproof bag in there that is used in the ILBE Main pack that they didn't mention in the listing, so Bonus! $120! Great video showing the features you covered everything. I had my wife sew up the slits on the radio pouch and I treat it like the upper pouch in an ALICE pack that you can swing up over the top to access the main compartment. Just an amazing pack if you can find one. NEVER letting this one go, it's always in my truck. Thanks for the great video!

+3 River Blades Isn't the ILBE Recon main ruck bigger and has some degree of organizational capability as opposed to a big, "bucket" ruck like the regular ILBE? If you could do a video on the Recon main ruck or respond with what the differences between the 2 main rucks are it would be appreciated. Thanks ;)

+Thomas Rosler Look at Gear Up Surplus, Coleman's Surplus ( the website has way more than it's print catalogs, including a U.S.M.C. large utility pouch, or something like that. It carries a lot of gear and is good on price as well ), Off Base Surplus, Venture Surplus, Major Surplus, Sportsman's guide, etc....... There are more whose names I don't remember ATM, but they have a lot of really cool surplus in great shape. Venture Surplus, in particular, is more than honest about the condition of surplus. I ordered the U.S. G.I. large combat ruck [which came as the complete set, with the 2 susatinment pouches and everything aside from the assault pack], a pair of 200 round SAW gunner pouches, and a pair of MOLLE 2 canteen and general purpose utility pouches, and another black buckle pistol belt, all in supposedly "defective" condition. Not only did it all look as tho it hadn't been issued ( especially surprising for the MOLLE 2 large ruck, which I got for $50 ), but the large ruck, which said it needed to be assembled, came fully assembled and it was as if the ruck were set up for me. Everything rode where I wanted it to, including the large, padded waist belt. Since I would be open-carrying my Glock 21 if I strapped on a big, military ruck and thus carrying my main pistol in a leg and thigh holster, so I knew it could be easily accessed if I strapped on a big ruck, my pistol belt, chest rig, and AKM, I wondered about how that ruck would do with my double mag pouches for my Glock 21. The waist belt sat right above my pistol belt mag pouches. This prompted me to order some grenade pouches from Venture Surplus, since they make great double HKS speed loader pouches for magnum caliber revolvers, and I have since mounted the holster for the Ruger Red Hawk .44 magnum on the right-side MOLLE on the waist belt, and 3 grenade pouches with HKS speed loaders for the .44 magnum, loaded with 280 grain Winchester Partition Gold Deep Penatrator Jacketed Hollow Point rounds on the left-side waist belt MOLLE ( we have some dangerous wildlife, including bear and cougar, where I live, up in the Great Smokies ). You can probably find what you're looking for there. If you're talking about the drugs and meds bags that come with the Recon Corpsman's Ruck, I think Gall's sells a Paramedic's bag that has pretty much the same pouches. Hope this helps ;)

3 Day I.L.B.E Pack has 6 MOLLE WEBBING vs the Recon Pac which has 8. Honestly, the 3Day pack (for the money $60-100) is ideal for most applications. The Recon Pac while it's equally great it's OVERPRICED currently selling on eBay $300 to $550. Nothing Special other than it's taller. I own both and the RECON PAC is so tall it looks like you have a headrest behind your head as it sticks up to high. The I.L.B.E is ideal for camping, EDC, Airplane Carry-On and Book Back and Gym Bag. The Recon Pac is too tall and doesn't fit inside Gym Lockers.

Man, I so want one of these for times I don't want to wear my ILBE and U.S. G.I. MOLLE 2 Large combat ruck. I have been coveting that ruck for a long time. I have the regular APBO3 assault pack for the ILBE, but it's got little MOLLE, and just doesn't have the space for what I want to carry for more than 2 days. This would make a great 72 + hour ruck ( among the few rucks, especially surplus, touted as 72 hour rucks that you can get a week's worth of gear in. Plan on 3 days, prepare for 5 to 6 is my way of thinking ). It has plenty of MOLLE so I can set the sides up like I like it ( a sustainment pouch with a 200 round SAW gunner pouch right underneath on each side ), plus enough MOLLE on the front to set up the pouches I want, because some things you need right then and there and don't want to dig into a fully packed ruck. I have always seen them for about 180 to 200 on Amazon. You said it was about a 35 or 36 liter ruck, what does that translate to in cubic inches of capacity and pounds of gear it carries? The Corpsman's ruck also has IV stands and hangers, as well as several large, zippered drugs/meds, and trauma kit items pouches that sit at the front of the main pocket so you can grab them as needed, correct? Man, if I find one at a good price, in good shape, I'm jumping on it. I think it would be neat if you gave us a tour of your gear shed/wherever you keep all that cool gear of yours. That's a video I request, if you're taking requests ;) Edit : I'm an AKM and .45ACP guy, do you have AKM and .45ACP gear that you could do a video on? Thanks :)
