Simple trick: for any military time past 12:59 just subtract the hours by 2 and take away a "one" from the tens spot in the hours.

It's the 24 HOUR CLOCK not 'MILITARY TIME'.The Army USE this system as does HOSPITALS but it's not called 'MEDICAL TIME' either. It's known as the 24 HOUR CLOCK !
@brooklynguan280410 жыл бұрын
yeah but a 24 hour clock you would write it as 13:34 but wat ALL branches of the us military write it as 1334 duh no semi-colon
@damo007810 жыл бұрын

'Military Time' is a synonym for '24-Hour Clock', though it's not a synonym everywhere - 'Military Time' is commonly and popularly used in place, in Canada, Britain, and the US. The name comes from the adoption, and standard usage of British military in 1914, Canadian military in 1917, US Navy in 1920, and the US Army in 1942. The US Navy was the first US institution to use the 24-Hour format. Other specialists and professions started using the 24-Hour Clock format many years later, and used both names, as the military had been the first to adopt and make it standard. Hence, the name/term 'Military Time'. You're not wrong, but I just wanted let you know why that name is there, and why the '24-Hour Clock' is referred to as the other name.

Technically both 24 hour clock and Military time. It is a 24 hour clock and it is used by various militaries. It's also astronomical time.

Its basically 24h time format, because the miltary needs reliable times not am pm shit. also I think they use kilometers etc. because they want reliable units.

there are people that do not understand how a 24-hour clock work, how can someone like that exist, isn't 24-hour clock something you have to know when you are only 5 years old?

why did you say hundred at the end of 1932 (nineteen thirty-two hundred), wouldn't be just (nineteen-thirty-two) I understand that we must to said "hundred" with miltiples of 100. so 1900 is (nineteen hundred) but I think that 1932 mustn't the Word "hundred"
@pat1ence7197 жыл бұрын
obetGr nineteen thirty-two hundred hours
@AndresFnt11 жыл бұрын
Is it appropriate to really say Ninteen Hundred? Isn't Ninteen sufficient? I ask because there is only one Ninteen and it is obviously on the PM side- and 1945 wouldn't sound right if I said Ninteen forty five hundred. If I am wrong let me know.

@gboldero19 жыл бұрын
it would be correct to say 19 hundred and 45 hours or 19:45 p.s. you can always skip the hours and unless it's right on o'clock you can skip the hundreds as well.
