Wow, what can I say. All I did was cry. My daughter was in the military and is now a military wife and Mom. I am so proud of her. She has held down the fort until her husband comes home. Let's give thanks.

Thank you for posting this video. I am the father of a soldier who just came back after 15 months in Iraq. I pray everyday for the protection of our troops and their families. I was not married when I served... but my father was a lifer. I was raised as a military brat and got to see this first hand. God Bless the men and women that serve our country and God Bless the people that sacrifice and support them in that endeavor.

I am so impressed! I hadn't heard this song and it moves me to tears, as i recall several moments in our lives that mirror these. My husband is in the australian army and currently deployed, leaving me with our 3 week old song when he left.....this is beautiful. I sent it to him o/s and he showed his mates. I think of my Mom, who had six kids to raise while Dad served 2 tours in Vietnam, and my wife who endured my 3 Cold War and one combat deployment. Combat forever scars the combatant, and the spouse is his/her bedrock both away from, and at home. Thank-you ladies and gents who are stalwart rocks to your mates!

Reminds me of my mother and grandmother. My grandfather volunteered to deploy during Desert Shield and Desert Storm at the age of 56. He wasn't here when I was born and it was very hard on my mom and grandmother. Now me and him are very close. He swore me into the Maine Army National Guard last week.

I saw this video for the first time and I lost it "COMPLETELY". I am retired USAF E6. Thnak you and to all the military spouse's (male or female) please please keep remembering you are the "ROCK" that keep this whole thing together. My Husband is 5 weeks away from Grad. Basic & they are already talking deployment after A.I.T. We have two little ones, a Son 20 months & a Daughter 9 months & as much as I knew it was possible, I didn't expect to hear that kinda news this soon! Wonderful job on this video. My husband left almost 2 months ago to finish his 2nd tour in Iraq. We got married at the end of May while he was home on leave. Its really hard to be newly weds and have to see him leave to go back. He has told me before that he didn't know if he could have handled any of the tours if he didn't have me. It doesn't make it any easier no matter if your married or not. This is one of the best songs that I've heard to anyone with someone in the service. Thank you lots.

My wife is my hero. When I was downrange, she kept me alive. She sent photos and letters every day. She made sure I knew she was waiting for me and that she loved me. She couldn't be there with me physically but she was there in spirit and I love her for that. My wife is my hero.

I can remember when my dad was sent to Vietnam. Mom was the anchor during the year he was gone. She survived WW2 during the battle of Okinawa and lost many family members. Having to go through dad's deployment must have brought back a lot of childhood anxiety. Military wives and families are a different breed; they have backbone, courage, and strength in the face of the unknown. This is something the civilian world will not ever know.

Ladies, try to remember that the only time to truely be afraid is when you open your front door and there are two people standing there and one has a cross on his collar, not when you hear gossip or the news. My husband was in the Gulf for Desert Shield. I was coming around from surgery to remove cancer when I heard a nurse say, "Well, it's official, we're at war." Desert Storm had begun. 20 years as a Navy Wife , I KNOW if you are here you have thousands of sisters silently holding all of you.

just watched my love get on a plane and go back to duty again. as hard as it is, all the people i know are in the same position and i hold that one common ground if nothing else. we hold strong. we face the new long streach of time w/out them. its the little things like their glances, a kiss in the morning, the feel of being in their arms, that we despratly hold onto till we can see that blissful smile on their face when we greet them home. we have to be harder than a rock till our hearts r home
