She doesn’t have many days left and is STILL a bitter, angry and mean woman. I’m my 30’s I tried desperately to create a relationship w her. After failing so badly, I asked her what it would take to earn her love. She told me to get used to real life already. In real life ppl don’t love you just bc you want them too. She’s not spoken to me in 10 years now. I have 9 siblings… she’s birthed 10 children and she hates us all. Me the most, but she hates us all.

If you looked really close you could see it in her eyes as she sang. There was a soft look to it. She was singing about spending Christmas with the ones she loved and she knew there was one she was missing. What a truly beautiful video to see her have that missing piece given back to her.

You can also tell that she's resigned to it. It's been a year. A year of missed occasions. Mother's Day, whenever her birthday is, Thanksgiving, and just the daily life of her mom being around. She's passed the point of tears for her mom being gone, and is stuck on resigned sadness. Singing about something that is painful to her, but the tears don't come because they've dried up by now. When the lady started talking about a soldier being gone for a year and coming home, she didn't react. There was no anticipation there...nothing until she heard her name.

I wanted to be in the military. Specifically the marines or coast guard. I was speaking the recruiters, even did the screening. Etc. I found out I was pregnant. I knew the moment I found out I could never ever do that. I know the type of sadness it brings a family to have either one of their parents deployed. Even for such a good thing they’re doing. So seriously. Props to this momma for holding herself together. Props to her daughter for doing the same, and in such a sad (and don’t get me wrong , good reason) situation still being such a beautiful girl inside and out. And props to daddy for holding it down at home. May god walk with you guys family every day. You’re all heroes.
