You are 100% correct in your analysis with Zelensky. Anyway Zelensky cannot start any negotiation process with Russia for the following reasons: 1. Zelensky added in the constitution a law that prevent any ukrainian leader to make any peace negotiation with Russia (correct me if I am wrong) 2. Zelensky is not the legal President of Ukraine. 3. Any changes in the constitution must be ratified by the legal president. 4. Russia stipulated clearly its conditions for a cease fire and the starting of negotiation with the legal representative. Zelensky is like Von der Leyen or Michel - they have no power only the one given to them.

Here in Germany, the media has never discussed the nature of the aid to Ukraine. Apparently no one knows whether the military goods and the many billions of dollars in state aid for Ukraine are a gift, or whether at least parts of it were intended as a loan that Ukraine has to pay back. ​@@TrickyVickey Actually it makes perfect sense. -> Putin thought he could get an easy victory with little to no casualty on any side (he was certain the ukrainians would welcome his troops with open arms), so the 2022 escalation from that point of view would have looked like a bloodless affair. -> After Ukraine held back and refused to yield, Putin was certain they would quickly run out of equipment and the western powers' support would ceases soon enough, so it made sense to continue for just that much more time until it would all be over. -> Even now that it's clear that militarily, it will be a long war of attrition, Putin can still count on the very likely election of trump in november and the chance trump would grant him victory from the jaws of defeat and end the massacres. So the horror of this whole war makes complete sense, it was supposed to be almost bloodless and Putin way most likely convinced it wouldn't last so long anyway and now that it has, he still can hope for an easy out so it would be folly to give up right now, it would just be a waste of all those lives for nothing. Especially as in Putin's mind and probably most around here, it's all the ukrainians and westerners (aka "nazis") fault anyway. And thus the cycle of violence continues ^^.

They can't strike the nuclear ones, all the othera are kapout I think, as for the transformater it's in the work but it's harder. For the bridges I don't know

Railroads are simple and quick to repair. The Russians also use them as the front moves westward, so they try to preserve them. Same with bridges. Russia is leaving those they will need later. Power was left on as humanitarian issue.

Given that they take a small village at a time at best, you would think they would have wanted to cut any bridge over the Dniepr and everything west of that to cut the flow of western material and ammo as much as possible. "That would create chaos...." Oh no, chaos in the adversary's backline ? That certainly wouldn't help the russian war effort in the slightest, let's avoid it at all cost ;P. Wouldn't want to paralyze the adversary's backline ! Logistic has no importance whatsoever after all...

For those who still don't understand the conflict: peace depends on a collective security agreement in Europe. Since the Western political cadre that can enact pragmatic policies has not yet been born, there can't be peace - unless the current 'enlightened' cadre has completely vanished. NATO just informed that they intend to hold out for another 10 years - and it is for Russia, China and Iran to gain overwhelming momentum within that time frame.

Alas, since it looks as if the US and the UK have deliberately sabotaged their military to skew the already unfavourable 'Correlation of Forces' in Europe (e.g. the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review) - while ramping up their belligerent rhetorics from academia to mass media, demanding regime change in a total war - they will likely resort to non-conventional attacks with the pandemic as an exercise.

In my perspective It's not wise for Russia to recognize any agreements with Zalensky only talk Until Ukraine have an elected President. I think Because of the tons of sanctions on Russia's back it's disadvantageous for them to stop the activity unless Western countries also remove all sanctions along with peace agreement. Most of the life and destruction is on Zalensky and Boris hands because they refused to sign the 1st peace agreement. Unless of course it's ok for Russia to sign an unfair deal. They both know peace deal would never happen unless they elect a president. Zalensky just changing his tone to bet on Trump "Twice the military aid"

it's big money on each deal.. that's root cause of a lot of the issues.. and the suppliers will not give enough assistance TO WIN as they want a long slow burning conventional war in Europe so they can profit from the "aid" and the team in Ukraine get the kickbacks, and huge profits after a bit of a wash of the money..in each contract

Trump is a loose cannon ridiculously overestimating himself. His election would be disastrous for national politics (in which Biden was very good: economy going up after corona, big urgently needed infrastructure package), probably disastrous for Palestine, and unclear, whether it would become better for Ukraine.
