As an owner of a 20-30 FPS XBOX ONE I had all but given up on MOTORFEST summits. I got PLATINUM virtually every week in TC2 but earned PLATINUM only once in Motorfest, (and finished a Grand Race without a DNF only ONCE). I APPLAUD Ivory Tower for finally providing an alternate method to get the summit cars (After all, they gave everyone else ALL the exclusive vehicles I earned from TC2). Remember also that in the Crew 1 the PLATINUM cars were EARLY ACCESS ONLY, so balance (and my enthusiasm for playing) has finally been restored.

It seems the tickets can be obtained via normal racing, but I'd expect them to be real slow to farm, and we only saw the very first month Motorfest rewards in that preview, so maybe the rollout of items in that shop section will be either slow, delayed, or extremely limited to keep more "premium" summit rewards' rarity intact.

@@MilitiaGamingCommunity Summits will still have their purpose, because those who do the Summit will get the car for free, without having to pay Prestige points, and they will get the other tiers of Summit rewards. You have to realize and remember that not everyone has time for Summits. You can have peace of mind knowing that whatever you miss in the Summit because you didn't have time, you can always earn it later with Prestige points. Just because a game has exclusive content doesn't always mean the game is good.

Yh but I think his point is that the summit is the competitive mode of the crew, where the reward once a month is an exclusive car. If everyone can then get that exclusive car it’s not really exclusive anymore. So it loses its value. Why should I spend 1 mill to buy cars to then compete and get platinum to get this exclusive car when soon everyone can also get this car.

I’m surprised that no one is wondering what players will win via a Prestige Event if they have previously obtained/won a vehicle via a Platinum Summat placement? My guess??? Those extremely elusive and hard to earn Motorfest “bucks” and not even a token amount of cc’s that could be given instead, which would allow the previous Platinum winners to at least buy vanities, which let’s face it can and will be an effective form of advertising them to other players anyways.

Best guess is that TC1 is too old and none of the devs that worked on it and are familiar with its systems are at IVT anymore. But then again Ubisoft seems to not have issues with The Crew Unlimited, since the project has been going on for a few months and they never did anything against it.

One huge improvement I can already see is the fact that the follow races have far better label's, it's a lot more clear having a direct arrow, compared to the overhead wayward arrow as you come off a turn only to drive several yards or in game before reaching the checkpoint. Hopefully this will not just be exclusive to The chase squad.

Tbh, I am liking most of the new content and the fact that they're gonna have prestige tockets to buy older summit rides!!! The year 1 pass was around 40 euros (so around 45 $), and it gave only early access to some cars. That's why I skipped on it. This is why I think the year2 pass won't be cheap either. I'm kind of on the fence on that. If they make it cheaper - more people would get it, but I feel like they're not going to do that. About the prestige tickets - there should have been a way to bring back the old summit rewards, but I'm not sure if this was the way. I have missed 2 cars for the whole year and I want them, but this way I feel like everyone's gonna have everything.

They have rehashed the editions now and as far as I can tell the 'cop' playlist is part of the year 2 pass along with all cop cars, those who bought the Gold and Ultimate editions will not be paying for it but everybody else will have to, I guess they feel guilty, lol , that's how I understand it, now depending on how much they are going to charge me depends on me buying it.

Premium stuff is acceptable, they need to make money and its optional. As long as they dont charge 60 a year for it, its fine. 20-30 a year sounds reasonable for an online focused game. (WoW 13-16 a month for example and still worth it with the added cost of major expansions every 18 months)

@@Under2077 Yes most cop cars are buyable now (except the Ford GT Interception Edition because it was a summit car) but it didn't used to be that way. They were locked behind the Motorpass, and if you missed paying for the Motorpass, you couldn't get them anymore. That was very scummy. Only the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the Cadillac Escelade were buyable and all others were locked behind the Motorpass. They didn't learn their lesson of the mistake of charging real for *POLICE CARS* every game. They didn't think "You know what? Lets make all cop cars buyable with in game currency this time". They learned their lesson for the offline mode, thats good, and I'm proud that they will.bring offline mode to both The Crew 2 and Motorfest. However, they missed the offline patch for The Crew 1. That was the first Crew game. It deserved better. If you are a defender of microtransactions, whether a game has little or a lot, you should be ashamed and of what you are doing to gaming as a whole. We are tying to play games, not empty our pockets. I am fully aware that the companies need money but this is a scummy way of earning it.

I'm not really upset about it. idc who gets the rewards really, but in games in general, I prefer that exclusive items remain exclusive and its the whole point of doing the summits. By allowing anyone to grab previous summit rewards they are effectively killing off the only real competitive feature in Motorfest. It makes what should feel like an achievement to players who were there completely meaningless now.

@@worthy7834this is literally I was thinking. Someone is busy in real life stuff which can take weeks to months of not playing the game, or someone has broken devices that takes time to fix. These are unavoidable events that can happen in which hampered your chances to get the summit rewards. Prestige tickets is a great addition that solves these kinds of events, and solves the FOMO problem. Yes, the rewards are earnable but the rotation for those rewards takes such a long time to happen. I personally prefer everyone to get every rewards than not.

That is unfortunate. Looks like Year 2 while look stunning, went backwards from what Year 1 did. If I was announcing this Paid DLC, I would say... "Coming to the start of The Crew Motorfest Year 2 is a new Paid DLC Expansion that involves you the choice of racing with street racers in the new Made For Japan Playlist, or chasing them down in the brand new The Chase Playlist. Once completing either Playlists, you'll find those street racers in Freeroam as a PvE occurence. Approach the racer and go head-to-head in either an impromptu race OR an impromptu chase! Beat them to get some cool rewards. This Expansion is called *The Rivals DLC*. You can purchase this DLC expansion separately, but it is included for Year 2 Pass Owners, Gold Edition Owners, and owners of the brand new Ultimate Edition." See, that makes perfect sense. I guess the reason why they ramped up the monetization for Year 2 is that the Year 1 sales weren't meeting the expectations of what Ubisoft were expecting + there is STILL players playing The Crew 2. I am VERY happy that Ivory Tower has listened to our cries for an Offline Mode for BOTH The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest and they're looking into it while Year 2 of Motorfest is going on. I don't think they're going to do it to The Crew 1 since it is no longer purchaseable in Online Gaming Marketplaces like Steam and even the console eShops + that game is VERY MUCH out of date. If you want your fun rivals/cops event, you gotta play The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. My only gripe that I don't like with this announcement is, and I expect to see the whole Tangled's Flint with swords thing from the community, *Prestige Tickets*! ⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔ Prestige Tickets is a good way to encourage players to use the *Custom Mode* which as I said REALLY needs more things, especially a Race Creator. Yes, I am still asking for that. It worked well in The Crew 2, and it NEEDS to be in The Crew Motorfest. The only bothersome worry is that you use these tickets to BUY *Summit CARS*!? WHY!? I'm happy it is only for the ones in the past Motorfest Seasons, but WHY!? I don't care about Summit Cars! I never get Platinum in that sort of thing anyways. I want to play it just because I can play it, not because I can get cars that SHOULD'VE been Exclusive for that Season. I kinda like the whole Legacy sort of thing with being able to play some of the best events from past seasons in Motorfest, but the whole *Prestige Tickets* thing. NO! WHY! NO! I would be happy to use those tickets to BUY vaniety cosmetics from the Shop in past weeks that you can put on your existing cars. Not the exclusive cars! Let those that missed out on getting that BlackPanthaa car miss out. Wasn't that the point in how The Crew 2 Summits worked, if you missed out on the Summit Car... you don't get the opportunity to get that car again for a good while. FOMO was what made Summits worked in the first place. I am happy that some games that used to have those FOMO things start to alleviate it, but The Crew Motorfest doing it literally in Year 2 of its potentially long life cycle is TOO EARLY! I would be expecting this in like Year 3 or Year 4 of the game, not Year 2! Anyways, those are my thoughts.

Rivals feature is a good, because the playlists get stale, the chase squad I'm pretty mixed on, at it's core the concept is fine, but having the whole hounds & cat's? Just comes across as a bit juvenile, I'm not denying the work that they've obviously put in, but the theme of cop's & racers with Dog artwork paintwork just feels corny. However the overall style of motor fest at times is pretty hammy, I've never played the old ones but I believe the story was far more gritter.

If its playing 30 minutes and get a platnum car reward, whats the point of the summit and this would break 50% of the online options because nobody grinds summits anymore. If it's grinding 1 week of grandraces to get a car, hell yes give me a ticket system.
