the only problem with the half tracks is that the rear of the vehicle is a lot heavier than the front of the vehicle which makes to front two tires partially lift off the ground and it gets no traction so the halftrack cannot turn (its pretty obvious when u look at it when its trying to turn)

Many of them have auxiliary brake levers, or even wheel/track torque-speed splitters that take affect after certain wheel angles are exceeded, that are used for sharp turns when the wheels would not, by themselves, provide enough turning torque. Not sure if this model did or did not, the particular example did or did not, the driver didn't want to use them, or didn't realize it had them.......

Also the frontwheels worked as a bulldozer, which made the track deeper and deeper. More difficult to come out again. When he had chosen for innercurve and less sharp steering he wouldn't have this problems.

the problem is if you dont back up far enough eaven if there is a lot of room and dont turn the wheel it wont turn. Nothing to do with the vehicle, more like a driver issue.

I don't know if a diff lock was fitted to these vehicles at 3:50 - The steering was totally inadequate by the look of it, so maybe a driver error ? ... I can't believe these prime movers failed that badly on a small incline ?

@@yamman1391 nein an den fahrzeug funktioniert die kettenbremse nicht richtig. Die vorderen räder haben nur eine hilffunktion. Wenn die kettenbremse nicht bremst dann kann man lenken so viel man will. Das teil fährt dann trotzdem geradeaus.
