Lammie looks really good and seems to be moving around really well. I thought that Lammie was older than Nungu, until this video gave me a good look at Nungu. You can really tell she is the elder sister. I'm so glad she can live out her life in comfort and care after providing the same for orphan animals. Animals often have issues when things, such as roles change and obe needs to not forget the role Lammie and Nungru played for several years as companions to an orphan baby elephant. When Khanyisa was old enough to spend the day with the herd, she was part of another herd come bedtime and now suddenly she is gone. They are, if course going to miss her and feel a bit upended and lost and alone now that she is suddenly gone. For the sheep she was just suddenly taken away and while their role was well established as her companions and the primary focus had to be Khanyisa and who she would adapt best within the homestead shelter at night and how to get her bottles and food supplements without interference from the new herd for Lammue and Nygru there really was no preparation except one night everything changed for them. Animals grieve over things like this and the stress hormones released by loss or sudden change especially in an older animal will often make them suddenly show their age or, no matter what age, seem less bright and energetic. We often find animals with companion roles for animals of other species understand that they are with animals different from them to provide something they cannot get from their own. They certainly were their as nightly and nursery yard companions as Khanyisa needed a social herd day and night and there was not enough room to move in a couple of adult elephants to sleep with her or graze the nursery yard when she could not leave when she was so young and sick. We often find that herd members that has a special role, whether with their own kind or another, and loose the focus of that role, however that might come about, show some real chemical and nutrient imbalances even when still eating well. We assume the stress if grieving is causing them to use up body stores of these even if they have stable weight. Treatment is usually easily accomplished by getting them the right supplements or minerals and vitamins that return things to normal and they then can adjust. And while one often assumes that having performed their role entitles them to a rest, animals who take on companion and assistance roles often feel lost and no longer important when their job focus moves on, as Khanyisa has. They don't really understand that perhaps a new day will bring them a new focus and we often find that finding them someone else to care about gives them back the feelings of reward they get from performing a role. Perhaps a lamb, a calf or some other farm animal rejected or abandoned by a mother could give Nungu a subject to focus on for a time, even if weaned, which would be less work for all, often need social interaction and to feel someone is watching over them who has the same number of legs :)

It seems to me (I hope I get the right one) that I believe it was Lanier who seemed a little distant with you Adine when you went to see them at the Orphanage.🤔 It did seem a little sad because maybe they do miss having third friend Khanyisa with them and now they only get to see her from a distance. I do hope they will be fine.❤️🐑🐑 However, I just love how Khanyisa runs when she is being called for her bottles and veggies too.🥰❤️🐘 She’s just too darn cute and also, I love how she does still crosses her legs too like the young lady she is.❤️🥰🐘 It was also so wonderful to see the HERD waiting for her to be ready with the Carers too to go for their day walks and probably the water hole too. I do hope to be able to see tha again from today cause I just love to watch them in the water and also sweet Khanyisa also playing in the water too. THANk YOU FOR SHOWING US LAMMIE AND NANGU. It was obvious Lammie saw Adine and therefore connected this to seeing khanysia. Lammie in fact went to the other stall door waiting to see Khanysia. I wonder If Lammie and Nangu could get closer to the stables to see, smell and hear khanysia. I Know you'd ensure their comfort, but it's such a relief to see the sheep. I know they are mourning khanysia, and she them. Perhaps if they saw each other it would change their perspective. I think talking to Lammie especially and khanysia and letting them know each is well and khanysia had to go with her Herd would help. Animals do understand us, we just have a hard time understanding them. Khanysia looks very very good. It is a natural progression to have her be w/her Herd 24/7 now. Thanks for sharing the info about khanysia albinism not getting worse as she grows older. What a good message. Herman and Stavros are shing examples of carers. I'm glad to see how fast the subscribers are increasing.

Just saw SEBAKWE on Am tv show, Sundays W/ Willie!! A thrill ..Was a photo of two Am tourists, from their visit at H.E.R.D! I was a little shocked that Willie Geist said Sebakwe properly! 👍🌞

khanyisa is just to cute running to get her bottles and her food and the big ones are so beautiful I just love watching them please send more 😄😆😉😎🤗🙂😀😁and the sheep's are cute also please send more🤩😍🥰

I just love how Khanysia and Timisa have bonded as sisters! Maybe that is the milk I paid for the Khanysia!--I could only afford to send a little but I know every little bit helps!
