I used to find kefir unpalatable, but I now do a second ferment overnight with a slice or two of lemon peel added. It's delicious! 🇬🇧

That sounds interesting. Didn't think lemon could go in there being a citrus, with dairy. Maybe I'll try it in the future if I ever make it again. Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome. I ought to make an update that I actually stopped drinking Kefir. I wasn't seeing any benefits after a bit, and instead was seeing histamine responses. Although it was so good tasting that I could've overdone it a bit and it was overkill having too much of the probiotic live culture swimming around. 😆

@@ActsChapter2BaptismSAVESyou how long were you taking the kefir before its benefits seemed to stop? How much kefir were you consuming per day? Given the huge number of CFU you may have over done things but I would have thought that your gut would have adjusted to the new balance and simply discarded what it did not need. If you think about it we are surrounded by bacteria every hour of every day. I would have thought you could not over do kefir? I will ask around and see if that is an issue or not. Thank you for responding and for posting in the first place. Hope you continue to do well.

@@morayjames92 There were multiple contributing factors for why I no longer make or drink kefir. I'm CERTAIN I over did it. :) I also would warn, Idon't think that's a good idea to consume kefir daily IF the person cannot cut out ALL sugar from the diet. (since sugar feeds yeast). Some bacteria can grow faster than other bacteria. To where it becomes imbalanced. Because you have all sorts of bacteria inside your gut, not only from the kefir, but also from AlL the things you've ingested since being born, including lab created genetically modified weaponized bacterias, and nanotechnology that most people are unaware even exist. The poisoning of the food, water supply, & air in our environment, including chemicals and metals and nano technology, smart dust, quantum dots, microcrystalline cellulose, silica, and on and on, added to the food & also aerosols sprayed in the air that end up falling into the water all contribute to how well our body can process what we ingest & how well our systems function. I'm not at all telling you not to drink Kefir, It was fun to make and fun to drink. I'm just saying that I do not look at it any longer as "medicinal" or gut healing, or a definite cure all for leaky gut, as many people do, & as I initially did. I drank it long enough for me to know that it wasn't what I needed and I was craving more and more of it because it tastes so amazing and too much of a good thing can make it not so good. I wasn't telling you not to make it, I was just being honest and letting you know that I'm not longer drinking it, in case you, as a viewer, thought I was endorsing it, because I was at that time, claiming it had benefits that I believed it to have. For me, It seemed to cause inflammation and it make my cheeks red. Which has since stopped. But it could have been doing that due to OTHER contributing factors As Well. I try not to any longer give people health advice anymore. Over the 13 years I've been looking at the alternative health community, and trying things, I've learned over time that there are so many things going on with people that they don't even know about that will make the advice of none affect and also there's a lot of bad alternative health advice out there just being repeated by thousands of people in their KZbin videos, ((without any research, people hear them and do them)) ..( I'm guilty of this myself) because the theory sounds like it would work, and people actually get defensive if you try to tell them this thing is not going to do what they hope) because the carrot, or selling point of it, the benefits touted are something the people want to believe will happen for them with a product or a diet. But it's just not so. And I personally believe that each person has to come to their own conclusions TO KNOW, and have that Understanding. 🙏🐯 That being said, I see the body as like a beaker and the things we put in, can cause other reactions or cause the tubes like arteries to gunk up,and not work right, so to keep our motors and engine and parts and tubes, clean,and not gunked up and the organs working properly, I do try to be aware of not eating and drinking certain things that can cause my engine to stall. ( if that makes sense If you compare your body and it's organs to the metaphor and likeness of a car engine how if one things stops running properly, issues will show up elsewhere. So it's good to be aware of what's possibly going on in there. 🙏🙏🐯🙏🙏🙏🐯🙏🙏🙏🐯🙏🙏 What I do now and have found works is simply, being aware of what I'm eating, drinking distilled or reverse osmosis water and some minerals and vitamins and that if I pray and ask for healing of Any Thing, in the name of Jesus Christ, that he hears me, and heals me because I have faith that my father's word is true and He, being the creator of all things, can repair Every Thing. Big or small. 🙏🐯. Hope that helps.

But I wanted to be clear, I don't think kefir is dangerous or can't be helpful, just for me personally, I over did it and decided not to continue with it. But it tastes amazing and so if you're interested in trying it, I'm not trying to tell you not to. Let me know how it goes for you and what you think!

@@ActsChapter2BaptismSAVESyou Thanks I am a week into my third month of a carnivor diet eating mostly beef and some eggs pork bacon fish a little cheese (not much chicken) salt water and now Kefir. That's it and I feel good but I may not be eating enough as I have to try to eat more than about a pound and a half of meat a day. I expected more energy than I am getting but it has improved from the previous diet and it is still early days so I am not looking for miracles. I have been making quasi Kefir using a powder probiotic supplement and I will finally be getting my hands on some Kefir milk seed grain later this week. I expect that to make for a significant improvement in the quantity of CFU's I will be able to take in a day compared to the present. Thanks for your response. Best of luck with your diet.

Praise God sister Jenna 🙌. That looks really easy to do. I like to excercise and I go through a lot of milk and yogurt since I make my own gainer shakes (yes...don't worry...I still fast 😄) and I think this would be an amazing addition....maybe substitute the Greek yogurt I put in for the kefir instead 🤔. Great video sister. May the Lord bless your house and grant you the desires of your heart in Jesus' name. Amen 🙏

It's SO Simple to make. You can order grains right off of Amazon. I'm going to make a video on the benefits of kefir. It has about 30-40 or so probiotic strains of good bacteria where as yogurt only has a few. I do love yogurt too though. Of a truth, I have need to work on fasting. I have not done alot of it yet. I'm working towards it though. Will you pray for me concerning strength to fast? Thankyou and God bless you!
@Disciple-K2 жыл бұрын
@@ActsChapter2BaptismSAVESyou I will pray for you right away sister. I know you can do it :). Looking forward to your next video! Remember that fasting is between you and God, there is no set time limit. Sometimes my fasts are simply skipping a meal......sometimes it's 2 days without food or water....and sometimes it's just refraining from solids for the day. It's up to you. And the benefits are amazing.... It will get God's attention, build your temperance against the flesh, and allow you to discern spiritual things much easier. When you really want or need something from God....this is how you do it 😇. Peace be multiplied to your house sister. Prayers going up for you 🙏🙌

Hi Jacob, Thankyou! Good to hear from you. Oddly , just this week you crossed my mind. ~ Strange how that works~ right? 😆 I am well by the grace of God. Kefir tastes so good. Unfortunately, I over did and had to stop a while because I began having reactions like red cheeks and histamine responses to it & gained some weight from drinking it while making it into irresistible blueberry smoothies that I over did. 🤣Too much of a good thing is Not good. 🙄 But it all balanced out now and all of that went away. I realized the sugar with the kefir and then grains probably fed the bacteria too much sugar caused fermentation inside the belly. So be aware of that.

That does look delicious, i wonder if you can ship them out since it takes a few days to get ready? Im not even sure how its made.

I'm not sure if you're in the U.S. but if you are, you can get them shipped from amazon- I was considering shipping them out to people via the mail but i stopped making them for bow and had to toss what I had because they died after not being able to keep up with them for a while. But i'll probably get more at some point and make them again.

Heaven Hi Sister Jennifer! What kind of milk are you using? I would love to make that with whole milk if I can find some. Another food to consider making is sauerkraut which is high in vitamin c and potassium. I fasted 3.5 days a few months back and then started a low carb diet and lost 40lbs in first 6 weeks. DO it please you will not be dissapointed.
@ActsChapter2BaptismSAVESyou2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thanks for the info- I WOULD like to make sauerkraut soon. I tried to ferment red cabbage recently & yet after fermenting for 4 weeks, ... It didn't retain the fizzle once refrigerated, it's flat. So i'll have to try a few times to get right. Maybe I added too much salt which can prevent and slow the fermentation process. I haven't tried making yellow/grn cabbage sauerkraut yet so I will give it a try. Any tips are welcomed! I'm definitely not an expert at fermenting- I just know it's very beneficial health wise- so i'm testing things out. I love that it's a good source of Potassium and vitamin C! Sounds like you're having great results with low carb- . I think i'm pretty much doing low carb- but im not 💯 yet- I like the LCHF : low carb high fat situation i've been hearing about. Many days I do something along those lines- Plus it seems most grains are sprayed with glyphosates - so i try to avoid grains, rice, cereals, pastas 95% of the time. I make different socca/ farinata/ bread which is made with chick pea flour and water and i add and egg to fluff it up - but there arent any grains in it. as a bread substitute. its Great! For the kefir- Although "Organic Quality" grassfed pasture raised non gmo fed cows milk would be IDEAL if one can afford it- ....I've just been using regular ( not organic) $2.89 whole milk - however, I am realizing that I may want to make some changes with the quality of milk I use when I'm able- - I'd love to find raw milk this summer. However, recently I found kefir grains can be fermented in Coconut milk! Whether store bought, ( which i tried & it was great! ) - OR you can ferment them with D.I.Y. coconut milk made in your own kitchen, which I havn't done yet. But I'm excited to try very soon. Thanks for the advice and sharing how changing what you eat has benefitted you and may benefit others!

@@ActsChapter2BaptismSAVESyou You should stick with the green cabbage. 10g salt to 1 pound of cabbage. No need to refrigerate sauerkraut I just leave it out till I am done eating it. Takes about 2 weeks to ferment for best flavor. If you like spicy food you can add peppers and garlic to cabbage. The longer its out the better it tastes.
