The Back half of Dark Communion is really epic. the ambush in the dark room with the boss spawn directly after, and the section starting 24:40 for the finale is really well done and adds some really nice atmosphere and spookiness. Very enjoyable map, and hopefully a sign of more ethereal and Daemonic elements to come from Papa Plague

Nothing is as satisfying as cleaving through 3 crushers in as many seconds and everything else in the area and then flicking off your sword. It just feels amazing.

I think the thing that's the most impressive about watching Indy play is his ability to time things correctly. There are so many moments where he perfectly charged his sword in the middle of enemies or switched off pistol to block a melee attack that if I was trying to do it would be a split second too late and I would instantly get voxbustered into a mutant into a flamer into five ragers and a trapper and my team would wipe; GT back to Mourningstar.

Thats the exact same build i use with my main zealot, maybe 1 or 2 nodes diff..such a good and fun build. Getting bleed and super high stacks of crit (over 50% and even higher with certain weapons and blessings). Been using heavy sword for a Long ass time, but be cool to try with this new Relic weapon😮

its really fun and quite good. Awesome cleave, great into mixed hordes, deals with Carapace quite well (especially on the other mark). Even when the sword is off it is still very usable. Its biggest weakness, as with the Force Greatsword, is mobility, and mobility is king at higher difficulties of Darktide. It has only 4 effective dodges and a sizeable dodge penalty compared to stuff like Dueling Sword so it will not supplant them for a variety of reasons, but Dueling Sword is broken on Vet and Zealot so thats not surprising. perfectly viable on any difficulty (not sure about Havoc yet)

It is listed clearly in the dev blog on steam that was released a few days ago regarding the new weapons. the Relic Sword for Zealot has Heat management and it is..amazing to use. The Force Greatsword on Pskyer builds up power on killing enemies. charge up and release a wave of death from the swing. The new Heavy stubber is automatic fire, or when Braced with 'ADS' it is single shot DMR style. All the new weapons are fantastic.

Seeing the new relic blade makes me think they gotta give the power sword on Vet the same heat buildup treatment instead of it being a single use Especially since vet got shafted hard with the weapon addons

give power cycler to power swords by default would also be kinda cool, but Vet's power sword has its own merits already with being less clunky with fast activation and all (also I'm pretty sure Power swords have higher-dmg combos than Relic blades xD), so if they do apply the relic blade's mechanic to power swords, I hope they'll balance them accordingly.

I don’t get why the zealot can use the bolt pistol but the veteran can’t use the relic sword. Is there any reason to play veteran anymore? Seriously what does that class have that isn’t outshined by another class. Kinda sad considering I enjoy the veterans perks but the weapons make them feel useless compared to all other classes.

Veterans have shout and other toughness damage related perks that make them more resistant to damage than ogryn.

I think Darktide has MUCH better combat mechanics than Space Marine 2, but the catch is that Darktide only shines brightest when you're playing a fully built character in Damnation difficulty and above
