The best way to deal with sticker commitment issues is to buy doubles of favorite stickers. I too, was the child who saved all my stickers and never used them. But now I can!

The Happy Planner is a fun one. I used one for a couple years then you turned me on to the binder method and using a small planner for a wallet. I'm liking that for now but I was gifted a planner for 2022 that I'll be using then.

I use there happy planner and let me tell you I LOVEEE how customizable it is! I would say for you! Invest in good thick printer paper and their paper punch!

I am the same way, horizontal vs. vertical. I’ve used both but horizontal is so nostalgic for me, reminds me of my college days. I loved school, mainly because of school supply shopping, but even as an adult I love shopping for stationery but I can go down the rabbit hole with it if not careful! You are so sweet and I love every video you make!

Four years ago, I actually switched from the standard big box store-bought planners to binder planning because of your channel! Soon after though, I discovered the Happy Planner but it didn't seem to work for me and I barely looked at my planner (luckily they go on sale often at Michaels and Joanne Fabrics!). Then my interests switched to bullet journaling and then eureka! 💡 I decided to bullet journal using Happy Planner Notes! I journal with the notes and switched to the HP Dashboard layout because it helps me plan productively and still include creativity. As much as one can quickly go down the rabbit hole with Happy Planner products, it does foster creativity and encourages to help get your *ish together. 😁😆 But that's what I like about the disc planning system, you can add/customize sections to help make your system work for you. Stickers... now that's a whole and separate subject... and I definitely get what you're saying about avoiding new hobbies. The rabbit hole's 🕳 force is real! I will be using stickers forever, whether I stick with bullet journaling, The Happy Planner, Passion Planner, Plum Paper Planner... whatever the brand, I love my stickers. 😆

I started out with vertical. Now I'm in a dashboard layout. I wish I had a little more space for each day, but if I went with horizontal I'd miss that dashboard. I use hourly daily sheets I got from an Etsy shop for busy days. You need stickers! Lol stickers are my favourite part of planning.

Just an idea with your list for the week in the plastic sheet holders - you could put it up 1 more disc than where its at so it sticks up at the top. Just a thought. I used to do that with the Happy Planners I had in the past years. Or you could use the Avery tabs too - those were my best friend as well!

One accessory that’s been worth purchasing is the coordinating punch. I’ve added ephemera like drawings, ticket stubs, etc. to document memories - creating a planner-scrapbook hybrid. I got my first happy disney princess planner started back in February & its a game changer, im a stay at home mama and so I started one to keep me accountable for when our bills go out and be more involved in finances coming and going as well as events for the kiddos and appointments. I switched from half letter full on brick sized planner to a field notes for to do list and I only write down that week's appointments. Everything else goes in Google calendar or OneNote. I love big planners but my shoulders and back can't stand carrying them around

Haha! I’m the SAME way with stickers and would totally overthink it. Same way with appointments being in chronological order too. The things we have in common are hilarious 😆. I’m a professional writer and editor as well ☺️. I use the LV agenda MM and just have planner peace with it. I don’t think I’ll ever give it up since I can customize like I want at any given time and the size is perfect for my lifestyle since I must have my planner on me at all times. I so miss your vids when you decorated yours.

Love how your set-up ended up!! Check out @squairdplans here on YT. She's a Happy Planner but really focused on productivity and her videos helped me figure out how to plan in a horizontal planner. She uses stickers but not all the time--she does a lot of hand drawn likes as well. Also @mom.run.craft used to do a lot of planning in Happy Planner with just pens, highlighters/markers and washi tape. She's moved on to other planners but still uses the same planning methods--pens, highlighters/markers and washi. Her old videos are still up on her channel.
