Lots of people. are unaware on dairy farms such as yours and the one i work on of the daily chores. Its a lot more than just milkin the cows. Its everything else that follows, cropping, feeding young stock, taking care of THAT sick cow or calf and O YA, that UNEXPECTED WHAT THE H, that some times GREETS US when we hit the barn, You get up and your set to milk, thn do this or that and you find when the lights come on a cow down or you start milking and something breaks!!! Your videos cover it all, day to day!!! KEEP UM COMIN!! side note as i have said before, NO MANURE SPREADER EVER BREAKS EMPTY nor does A MILKER EVER GO DOWN between the times your NOT using it!!! MILK ON!!! Kevin

Hey Kip, Great video! I grew up on a small family dairy in the 70s and 80s. I recognized the NuPulse milkers, and it looked to be that some of the pipeline might have been from a Surge system or maybe just the transfer line from the receiver to the bulk tank, but I'm questioning if I'm hearing a Bou-Matic vacuum pump, Bou-Matic FR-4A 7.5 HP? I grew up with DeLaval but had some neighbors that had Surge and Bou-Matic, so some vacuum pumps are very familiar. Thanks! Scott - MN

The places where you throw in the feed for the cows is very dirty with poop. Does that get sprayed? If it is sprayed, the water will get into the area for the feed, but that just doesn't look clean to me. Also, do you every spray down the holding area prior to them coming in, or is it just scrapped. Pigpen could use a spray wash, too. I'm sure the milk is clean, and maybe I'm being too picky.
@ellengallerani98364 жыл бұрын
Looks to me like grain dust buildup around the feeders, ive seen it in other parlors where grain is fed like that. It happens with all the moisture in the milking parlor on the flat surfaces. As to pig pen, there is usually one oddball cow that lays in the aisles instead of the freestall beds. They are all individuals with their own personalities and seeing that she is the last one in she might be low in the pecking order and had a bad experience in a stall with a bully cow and afraid of using the stalls. Just guessing here. Can't speak about the holding area but their feet and legs are quite clean.
