Great advice. I just bought a house with a piece of land to start homesteading. Starting from scratch. Dont even have a barn or shed to work from this year. So many things to do, build, buy... I have been mentally running around like the proverbial decapitated chicken with all of the things I want to do. Guess I just need to breathe and take it one step at a time. Thanks.

So logical but ignored by so many! I've built a lucrative small business from beekeeping. Granted a big part of it is location. But by doing removals, selling honey, selling hives, etc, I've only ever purchased one package of bees. Ever since then I've been cash flow positive and profiting. The best advice is what you started with. Start small and grow it as slowly as-economically-possible. I've actually had friends at work offer to buy-in so to speak, and loan me several thousand dollars to grow my business but I've declined as I'm growing faster than I can keep up now anyway. Thanks for sharing!

I've read somewhere it's about 2 mil/ year. But in the beginning he struggled hard too. Barely making it so hard work and his passion really paid off.

I'm just starting out on farming. Joel is giving me lots of hope as I tend to think like him in terms of debt free and working with the people around you that already have the equipment and a lot of knowhow. I only found out about his methods recently and realised I missed his recent speaking tour of Australia. I'm still trying to work out how he can feed 1000 cattle on 220 Ha, I guess I need more dams to start with, first step. Then I'll need to build the soil and carbon up.

That was one of Joel's best yet... i enjoy his videos... they are packed full of how-to knowledge, but this one also give practical (and pertinent to the small-timers) advise on how-not-to.... which is crucial to success..

Get out of debt. Shepard your nest egg. Connect to the land. My income based on your likes and needs. Connections are everything in how you can make your business grow. Going with the flow and only to worry about the things you have control over will make your business flourish over time.

As do I. Nothing begins without firstly our father above & then the farmer. I was just highlighting the mentality of the people who control the issuing of currency thru' their central banks that make peoples lives a misery.
