Thanks for info on "milk". I'm in Baltimore. Summers are rough. I did my USAF basic training in San Antonio in July and August in 72. Dryest "heat" I've ever felt.

I feel for you. I have two sanded electric guitars waiting for lacquer paint and clear. I won’t even try until mid September. I live 20 miles east of Nashville. The humidity is unbearable.

Hi Audey, I'm a 69 yr old fingerpicker from NC and have really enjoyed being a subscriber to your channel. You're a super craftsman and a true artist...it's a pleasure to spend time with you thru YT. Sorry the humidity's holding you up...80+% is rough. Hope your week goes well!

Back in the 90's I was working in an antique restoration shop and was refinishing a baby grand piano. I had bad problems with blushing finish, after trying everything else we got a dehumidifier for our sealed spray booth and never had a problem again! Thanks for your video!

Humidity and finish work is hard enough here in New England in the summer - can't imagine coping with it down there! Fantastic explanation of what's happening. I've had good luck with Mohawk's "No Blush Plus Retarder" for pulling blush out of guitars with moisture damage, but it will craze the finish sometimes. That oval hole looks great, love the mahogany. Wonder if that will give more midrange to the tone?

I’ve shot a lot of lacquer over the years. Albeit cabinet and trim lacquer. Not exactly the same product but I have shot a lot instrument lacquer as well. I’m sure not as much as you. So where I live the issue is a cold draft in the winter. You could have just shot a bunch of trim and it looks great but a cold draft will make it blush. It has also occurred on my guitars. I use straight lacquer thinner and shot over the blush. That somehow lifts the blush. There is also a product called blush remover (butylcellosolve). I’ve purchased it from StewMac.

That's interesting. I've never had an issue in the winter. I should have mentioned that I also have shot thinner to get rid of blush on the surface. I've used the airbrush instead of the gun and it works pretty good. That's a good tip about the blush remover.

Is it possible to dehumidify the air when you shoot?
