Hi Shellie, Thank you for sharing the wonderful video of the Mill House. I just love all the lovely ponds with all the running water. So, smoothing anytime of the day. Really loved seeing the main house and how it connects to the Mill. Love, love all of the rocking chairs and places to sit and just relax. Your window display was just lovely for the time period. Your front living room and kitchen are both so inviting and calming. Really appreciate your Red & Blue dishes, and the using of them every day. Just really enjoyed seeing your sewing/quilting space, so very spacious and homey. And you are a weaver too. Ok, I'm done. Is there anything you don't do??? Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place. My parents gave me the love of crafts. My father was a carpenter and worked in the building trade all his life. When he retired he did woodturning and cross stitch. My mum could knit, sew, crochet and she was a bobbin lacemaker. When I saw your lace pillow that made my heart squeeze. I have inherited her lacemaking items. She has some beautiful bobbins, some made by Dad and some hand painted. She also had some beautiful Honiton lace items (Devon UK).They along with myself would have appreciated everything you have shown in your video. Your Honey room is just absolutely beautiful. You definitely have the best stitchy place I’ve ever seen. Looking forward to your next video.

That was an amazing tour! Lovecthe antiques! My husband's family had one of the biggest mercantile stores in Ks. It still is standing but not as a mercantile store. It has been several stores since. Wow!!! This is BEAUTIFUL!! Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve never seen an antique collector design and display in such a beautiful way. It’s tidy and orderly so it’s not stressful. I was so intrigued with every corner and nook in your mill. I loved how you started outside and showed the entire property. Your joy of needlework is so evident as we explored with you it was extremely interesting listening to the history of the objects and your love of the simplest thimble given with love to the popcorn wagon enjoyed by the grandbabies. Shelly, the tour of your mill and especially the walk up the drive with the view of your home and garages and the mill will always be etched in my mind. I have watched this 4 times now - almost finished stitching Antique Birds & Cages in the process! It has been so special to see everything, but especially your love for all of your crafts. Downsizing has forced me to say good-bye to all of my looms and many other things that have been special to me over the years, but my little house is filled with quilts and stitched pieces on every wall. I spend every available moment knitting and stitching now - you are so fortunate to have family who love all of the things you hold dear. Thank you so much for sharing this part of your life.

I knew exactly what kind of stove you had when you walked into your kitchen…that Chambers looks exactly like the one my Mother had. As a matter of fact, her house was turned into a gift shop and her Chambers still sits in her former kitchen. Her deep well produced some of the best Boston Baked Beans! I can she both her and my father broiling things on the broiler. I learned to cook on it. Many fond memories flooded back, when I saw yours!

I very much enjoyed the tour. I love your items. I have some of my own but with a much much smaller space I cannot colect so much. My favorites are the spinning wheels and yarn swifts my fathere made. He turned the parts for them but got ashford heads for them. I mostly quilt now. I am doing a grandmother;s flower garden hexagon quilt right now. My Mother is 97 and I am care giver in her house. Most of the hexagon flowers she made in her late 80's and she did not do a great job. I have taken the ones that were not useable and put new papers in them. I also made a bunch of them apliqued on to grunge squares and those look great too. One of these days I need to get them sewn into a top and quilted. I also garden some.

I have to tell you I got to giggling while you showed your beautiful sewing studio. I was using my own sewing machine the other day, and so many times I dropped the bobbin or the thread spool and it went rolling away under my table. I can only imagine how far that thread would unravel all the way to your floor below. ha, ha, ha! How many times have you accidentally dropped stuff off the ledge there? 😀
