Thank you so much for the content you post for us! I am very isolated due to a medical situation (includes zero immunity); folks like you beautiful souls, make me feel so much LESS alone. And I also appreciate the ‘realness’, the authenticity you both demonstrate. It’s wonderful. Thank you. Xx love from the crochet lady in Ohio 🫶🏻🧶

Interesting tour of the mill. Hang in there Amanda. I remember those days with two little ones. My first started sleeping nights early and the second took ages.

You guys are just so much fun! I love watching your podcast!! Life has its twists and turns for sure, especially as a parent, but in the end, these little beings grow to be amazing adults whom you are continually thankful for and can't believe you made!!! Good luck with the shenanigans! LOL I love that you went out into the mill today! We love seeing what's going on out there! It makes it somehow real, you know? Love both of your knits today and that shawl just may find its way into my stash! LOLOL Thanks for a great espisode!!!❤

Hey lovely ladies, life happens!!!! I have good potty training stories too, when as a teacher I went above and beyond to get the kid where he needed to be.....Sleeping deprivation is the worst , so please slow down and make time for naps ! The mill is always a fun place to be, although I was blessed with a couple of great days at school with little snow and lots of excitement from the kids...too tired to knit much in the evening though!

sleep training was so tough for us, too. We co-slept for a bit and like you, when we put him in his own crib, hard crying. Give yourself some grace - and you need those treats, take the time you need. My aunt would say to me "this, too shall pass" Of course, I didn't believe her, but it is true.

I feel your pain and my best potty training tip is to bring a little potty in your car, use a diaper bag in the cup and drop the toilet paper in the cup inside the bag, tie it up and throw it out. This way you do not have to worry about not having a bathroom while potty training. Worked wonders with my boys. Hope you are feeling better. Love the mill tour, thank you and love the idea of the silicone pads in the pot.

Sleep deprivation is the worst! It makes it so difficult to cope with all the other things that get thrown into the mix! We feel your pain!! I had a colicy kid & was on the phone with the pediatrician & he said, "It should get better in about 3 months." I wanted to reach through the phone & grab him by the neck and say, "Listen buddy, I'm living moment to moment here. Three months is not a helpful thing to say when I can't sleep!." We laugh about it now, but it is the worst! Hang in there. ❤

right there in the trenches with you on with the kid stuff. Working thru a sleep regression with our youngest and potty training an uninterested 3.5ish daughter. the nerves are fried, the sleep is next to non-existent, and i just keep pushing thru. Just know you're not alone!

The crying out DID NOT work for me 28 years ago with my daughter. ( in the first place she was colic for the first three months so sleep deprivation then was real ) … but after that she went thru the separation anxiety ( and btw her younger sister was not a problem at all with any of THAT stuff ,, so there’s that ) And I let her cry that long and I would bury my head under pillow and cry my eyes out . AND IN THE END she would just pass out of exhaustion and then be up and do it all over again . In the end , we had a window seat or bench one of us would lay down on in her room, we would fall asleep , she would fall asleep , and we would sneak out after she fell asleep . And that continued ummm I think till she was 2nd grade ? And the last few of those years the two kids were in the same room together! She turned out to be a highly successful Doctor of Pharmacy treating veterans with PTSD . I feel for you … we also went thru issues with her pooping on the potty … Fixed with a TON of fiber ,, we would mash wheat bran with a banana or figs and give it to her while she was busy playing in the evening. Now tho they have miralax and other wonderful fixs. They ALL end up getting over it eventually and you will count your gray hairs as your medals of honor 😂😂

Parenting is a challenge. 30 odd years ago. Had mastitis with vomiting. 6wk baby. Hubby pulled out a mattress onto the floor into the lounge and left me to it and went to work. Had to drive myself with bub to GP to get anti-emetics and antibiotics.
