I don't listen to rap much, but I found the ultimate comfort in mono. The entire album has very lofi sound. Everytime I play it end to end. I haven't even looked at the lyrics yet except for seoul.

If you were wearing headphones at 3:36 where Rm switches mics from the left to right you can hear him rapping from in your left ear then to your right ear.. so it follows what he's doing with the mics

I don't think I will ever be able to get over how creative RM is when it comes to expressing himself through music, his Mono album is a very different vibe but its packed with emotion and makes you really think. Would love to see you guys giving the album a try! And it would also be super cool if you guys reacted to a Run BTS episode. You really get to see what they're like as people and its the most wholesome thing ever.

If I can make one request for the next time y’all react to him, please please please PLEASE react to Mono. I’ve seen some other comments already mentioning this. It’s his 2nd “mixtape”, but he actually calls it a playlist. It’s such a well-crafted work of art. It feels like I’m listening to an emotional description of the human experience. Lol, I know, maybe a weee bit dramatic, but it seriously was almost life changing for me. The journey the playlist takes you thru breaks you down and then builds you back up. I recommend having the lyrics up, you absolutely need them. But I didn’t use them on my first listen and I still “got it”. The music melds perfectly with the vocals to convey the message. Love this song and Joke by RM, but also "Awakening" y'all should really check it out. To me, it seems like it was when he was in his head a lot about the crap he got for being an idol vs. rapper... it's excellent song. And it has a music video, just search the music video with eng lyrics, cuz it does not come with captions, but the video is definitely worth watching to see his emotion. Love y'all's reactions! I actually love how you always commment on it yourselves and try to understand what it means so i think knowing what was happenning back then might help you understand it even better !! At that time Joon and the boys were getting critisized for becoming idols even tho they were " rappers " originally. Some of the rappers from the Korean underground scene litterally told them they were not hip-hop enough bc they were doing makeup and going on stage like "girls" . They kept telling them how they weren't actual rappers anymore and they've just become idols like girls. So most of their 20014-2016 mixtape songs are comeback for that just like the Cyphers.
