Just got one last week. 100 lbs lighter. Welds real smooth. Liking it so far.

Looks like a great little machine. You can’t beat those manual choke machines for reliability. We have trailblazer 325 EFIs and a couple bobcat 260s. The trailblazers have had some issues and the bobcat 260 has the electric choke carbs. Not a fan. Mine was brand new and cranked way too much before firing. There’s one bobcat 250 manual choke in the fleet. That machine has been flawless.

My old 225 I can switch to ac and weld on magnetized pipe . That is a feature that is a must have for me .

Is there a certain amount of wattage it will run at idle before it idles up. Or does any wattage amp draw cause it to idle up?

Bought one of these a few months ago. I have 16 hours on it, great generator but not a smooth stick arc at all. If you like a clear defined smooth puddle this machine is not for you! It has a very strong violent arc with a lot of sputtering and spatter. You will never get a slag peel with a 7018. Worked with Miller and got the main board replaced, no change. My Bobcat 250 and Trailblazer have a 100% better stick arc. To be clear I am a huge Miller fan I have a ton of there products. For whatever reason this machine is a swing and a miss.
