I like it ! Looks like the M100 is a dedicated lifting rig , how does it do on uneven ground / hillsides ? Outriggers can compensate for that independently ? Looking good guy's !

That's damn impressive. How much does that unit weigh? How much would it cost to buy? What kind of rates would have to be charged to make it profitable?

those snatch block are over loaded.. arent they?
@towtruckaj4 жыл бұрын
Maybe, maybe not depends on what kind of snatch blocks they are running, It says the m100s come with 7/8 wire rope, If that is the case, I'd assume they would match it with a 7/8 snatch block, They could have gone bigger and got a 1 inch plus rated snatch block and gone up to 30 tons per block, But i'm going to assume they have the 7/8 inch 15 ton snatch blocks, So 30,000 lbs each, They have 2 for 60,000lbs WLL, He said with the weights it got him to 100,000 lbs, So if i am correct and they are using the 7/8 15 ton snatch blocks, they would be over the safe working load limits, that being said they could be using the 25 or 30 ton snatch blocks in which case they would be within the safe WLL, adding to that they have a design factor of 4:1 so realistically the 15 ton is made to withstand up to 120,000lbs each before breaking, distributed between two blocks thats 100,000 of 240,000lbs breaking load limit, Without knowing the type of snatch block they are running there is no way to tell, but I'd say they are definitely within the breaking load limit especially seeing as they of course didn't break, and i'd say if they took that into consideration they very well could have swapped to the 25 or 30 ton blocks but i'd guess from the factory these trucks would be equiped with the 15 ton blocks and they would be over the WLL.
@Coolty444 жыл бұрын
M100 comes with 25 ton blocks. The wire rope is also some special 7/8's that I can't remember the exact name of, but it has a significantly higher WLL to make use of those blocks as well.
@jonastobar47564 жыл бұрын
25 x 2tons = 100 lbs. I am educated now.
@kennethnevel32634 жыл бұрын
Even with 25 ton snatch blocks this rigging is still over the WLL by some percentage due to the angle of the lines from the boom to the load . Still not any where near breaking point at this angle , but over WLL . Angler line load goes up when the lines are not inline with the load , greater the angle the higher the percentage of rise is above the load weight , l have seen charts on this.

It's weird how this vehicle has the same tail light design as the Entegra Coach... I didn't know this was a shared piece that some third party manufactured (google image search "entegra coach tail lights")
@brandoncaldwell954 жыл бұрын
Thats because it is the same taillights. It would be too expensive to design different ones when off the shelf parts will suffice. The is common between multiple brands over many products. Ranks with riding lawnmowers. There are technically 3 company that product a good better and best options. Thats 9 mower brands yet of those, they will interchange parts between one another.

That up close stuff is cute. Shoot the boom out to max extension and show the world what it can actually do. Enough cutesy little up close overglorified advertising shenanigans. The 50 ton rotator can do that just fine with a highly skilled and technical operator. Unimpressive.
@kappajohns54164 жыл бұрын
Look at the launch video. Picked a 1075 which was picking up a 5130. Was able to boom out off the back.
@towtruckaj4 жыл бұрын
They did in the first video of it, It was quite an impressive lift they did, But the rotating is to show even under a pretty massive load the rotate functions will operate fine and the outriggers can handle it.

Try lifting matt's nose. It fills all of his videos so she must be loaded with gravity
@chefmatthammerschmidt84084 жыл бұрын
Look, I guarantee you that was not the "78,000 pounds" they claim it was. There was zero footage of any gear in that truck. Ron Pratt's is 68,000 with all the gear in his. It is more than likely 68,000 instead. I have seen the videos. None of you seem to know the difference between forceps and tweezers. None of these comments you people are making are effecting me. BTW, thank you for the viewership support.
@kappajohns54164 жыл бұрын
@@chefmatthammerschmidt8408 Incorrect. In a video he says that it takes a while for his 72000LBS + truck to get up to speed. 68,000 might have been when its empty, but a 1075 is not a 1150. When they first demoed the M100, they had a 1075 with a weight of some 79,xxx.
