Salamina | The "secret" beaches of Salamina
It is, perhaps, one of the most misunderstood destinations and wronged in relation to the beauties it hides. The reason is Salamina, the largest island of the Argosaronic Gulf and it is only one nautical mile from the port of Piraeus and only a quarter of a mile from Attica.
The island's short distance from the capital, combined with the numerous and interesting options it has to offer, make it an attractive holiday destination. The island of Salamis has inexhaustible natural beauties, picturesque coves, rich vegetation, mainly pine trees, olive trees and vines, impressive sights, remarkable ancient monuments and wonderful natural beaches.
In the bay of Salamina on the Aiantei side is an unexplored natural destination where you can find the secret beaches, of course only with a speedboat because there is no road to reach the hidden beaches.
Words are superfluous in front of the beauty of the landscape and you cannot believe that these beaches are located next to Athens.
