They participated. It is what it is, but to claim they were “victims” is crazy. They loved the fame and it could have carried on as long as they wanted it to. They blackmailed the producer and he ended it. After decades I’ve come to appreciate that guy even more. What a weird and successful project that was completely his brainchild.

Everyone involved in delivering this music deserves credit. Including these two guys. They were all part of a large, collective project. These guys did the dancing, touring, and the presentation of the music and they worked hard in their own way. It was their image, charisma and looks that helped win over fans. And you had the real singers, and the producers, and the instrumentalists. Everyone involved did a great job.

One day this guy walks in, needing a ticket RIGHT THEN AND THERE! I had to do Overtime and then he revealed he was the DJ for the US Military (AFN), and he would play ANY song for me the next day on the radio at 7AM. I requested THIS song and with my now late husband, our daughters sitting around the radio, he played it, mentioned my name and place of business. Needless to say, Business skyrocketed. Was, hättet ihr getan ? ♥️♥️

Well, technically, they ARE the real Milli Vanilli - THEY were the group that was constructed as the front for the record company that engaged in the scandal. Milli Vanilli - Rob and Fab - were the ones being marketed. Whether they sang their own songs or not, the group that was being sold was THEIR FACES AND BODIES. So you can keep thinking of them as Milli Vanilli because they ARE.

I was at the Lake Compounce Amusement Park concert in Connecticut when their recording went out. They ran off the stage, and then the music started again when they were not there. Truth is we were young adults drinking beer 🍺 and didn't really notice or care. I always assumed these concerts had a backing vocal track so the performers could dance. But that was the beginning of the end of Milli Vanilli.
