I admire Millie's honesty and for writing her story. I love her lack of self pity, her lack of drama, and accepting what she wanted to change. Wonderful inspiring interview.

I agree half, a good strong interview, Millie acted in time. Ultimately she didn't lose anything like others have, possibly leaving them more self critical and sorry for self.

The binge drink culture in the UK is so bad. Especially in universities. Something needs to change.
@pennytrue27417 күн бұрын
It’s bad in America too if not worse. In America kids start even younger. I’m a millennial but even when I was in high school kids were drinking as young as 13/14 years old and sometimes the “cool” as an adult I would say irresponsible parents were providing the alcohol
@wicklawalker949512 күн бұрын
It really shows how drinking affects all levels of society. She’s so right; it’s not talked about enough. Social occasions are much too alcohol based 😕
@hailparadise887 күн бұрын
An alcohol problem is only recognised and “accepted” if you drink every single day and lose your home or job etc. An alcohol problem is when you take alcohol you can’t control it. When you start you can’t stop and when you stop you can’t stay stopped. I’m 32 and I’ve just passed 2 years sober. Biggest and best decision I’ve made in my life. Learning to live sober you can accomplish anything. For me it was all or nothing. I went to AA and went on the 12 step programme and would highly recommend it.

So she is not admitting she is an alcoholic? binge drinking is not being able to stop drinking and drinking until you pass out. Same definition for alcoholics they can't stop once they start. Cop out!
@happydays218311 күн бұрын
Regardless of labelling things, it sounds like she identified a problem and has taken actions to address it in a way that's working for her. Don't have to be a full blown addict to acknowledge that something is no longer serving you or causes harm.
@leej-wp9ft11 күн бұрын
@ there is no such thing as a ‘full blown alcoholic’ you’re an alcoholic but in different stages as the disease progresses, as someone who has been in AA for decades and has heard hundreds of shares - you’re born with the addiction to alcohol.She is putting it all in a lovely bow to preserve her image and that’s probably why Cat really wasn’t buying it.
@happydays218311 күн бұрын
@leej-wp9ft I hear you, but I believe many people don't consider themselves to fit certain labels & alot of that is possibly due to stereotypes and what people are lead to believe "classic addiction" looks like. Whatever your demons are I commend anyone with the courage to address a problem & make different choices. All the best in your journey.

Yip thought the same thing alcoholism is exactly that . She can't bring herself to call herself an alcholic very strange
@leej-wp9ft7 күн бұрын
@@happydays2183I don’t have demons. I admitted I was an alcoholic and went to AA and stopped drinking. Millie has demons her main one is being a narcissistic person who can’t admit to being an alcoholic as her image is more important than being honest with herself about herself.
@AndreFlavell5 күн бұрын
My kind of girlfriend is a chronic alcoholic and debases herself with random men . Unfortunately the men are the same and low level. It’s steely her looks and lost all her $ and 3 boys . I tried to help her but her drinking was confronting. I sailed away to another country but stay in touch but nothing has changed only worse .

All this woman does is try to make herself look so relatable through all her "struggles". She's rich and pretty and realistically probably can't relate to any of us commoners. I don't believe her story tbh, it's just something to make her some money as she's got nothing else to sell.
