This is why I feel KZbin is and will be the leading platform. It’s showing the videos you want to see based on your interest, not pushing random stuff into your feed. It creates organic viewing pleasure for the audience to see what they want to see. Great video thanks for the weekly insight 👍🏻

The main problem I've found with KZbin's current algorithm is they're so focused on what the audience has shown to like they're completely ignoring what the audience wants to watch right now. Here's why I say that: there was a video that I wanted to watch while working out from one of my favorite fitness KZbinrs. This was they're latest video, posted the same day I wanted to watch while working out at my community gym. Using the TV in the gym, not signing in to my own account, I went to the KZbinrs channel, searched using keywords from the video, and even went as far as to search the complete title. No matter how I tried, KZbin's algorithm never showed the video I wanted to watch. All the algorithm did was show the most watched/popular videos from that channel and other related channels. Part of this is also on the version of the KZbin platform on that TV because you couldn't just see all of the videos for that channel. I find it weird though that the algorithm wouldn't at least suggest the most recent upload of a highly popular channel or at least bring of the video from typing in the full title and channel name in the search bar. All of the videos it suggested were at least 6 months old and i wanted to watch none of them because I've already seen them.

I am in my 70's and still learning a lot about this business. I do need to learn more about affiliate marketing, Instagram, etc. but my main plan right know is to learn (if there is a way of doing it) how to make videos in different languages a I am familiar with 4 of them. I’d think about who your target audience is, or the ideal person you’d like to reach with your videos. Ask yourself what their dominant language is. And focus on that for the time being!

I hired an editor about 1 year into my KZbin journey. I decided to for two reasons: 1. I really didn’t like editing hahaha My computer was SO SLOW that it would take 10 minutes for one cut to load (not kidding). So because of that, it made me loath the process😅 (and you know me, I’m all about doing what brings me joy!!) 2. It was the one task that was taking up 80-90% of my time. I knew if I hired this out, it would free up SO MUCH time. Time that I could spend coaching students, starting a membership, or even spending a little longer on my scripts. I knew the return on investment would be worth it! And it was!

We need more keywords and tags. Sometimes, even if you used the best tags or keywords, the algorithm still got confused to get the right audience. But, I'm still using tags. It did helped some of my videos to boost a little more views.

KZbin may promote larger channels first because more people have watched the videos or engaged with them and the algorithm then pushes those out based on searches. It doesn’t mean it’s impossible for smaller channels to grow it just may take more time. We all start at zero and that’s okay! There’s plenty of room on KZbin for all of us☺️

So my algorithm is broken, because I receive a massive influx of videos with topics that I would never watch and even when I say Im not interested, KZbin keeps showing them to me. I don't like real crimes videos, I dont watch these content, never watched and everyday I have videos about it in my homepage, KZbin also pushes content to the viewers to see if that content they may like

She's sponsored by a b-roll company, lol. Don't give it too much weight; but at the same time, if you're looking to increase your reach, it's always worth experimenting. I personally don't think that adding b-roll or editing makes a video "inauthentic" 🤷🏻‍♀️ you have to decide which is more important to you - keeping your workflow and content the way that you like it (even if it means potentially limiting your channel growth), or growing your audience (even if it means changing how you do things). No right or wrong here, but I assume that if you're here on Millie's channel, you probably want to grow your audience 😊 I wonder how you might do that without overwhelming yourself, and without compromising your creative vision? Could you maybe set up two cameras while you talk? You can keep your audio unedited, but jump back and forth between cameras to add visual interest. Just an idea!

The truth is that there is no “funnel”…you just described the same thing twice. There’s no difference between the two things you described. KZbin does analyze your video, it also analyzes each user’s interests, and it matches videos to users based on a content-interest match. There’s really nothing magical here.
