Max and I hit the ice again today in hopes of catching some bluegill and crappie to cook up for lunch. But today I wanted to try something I've never done before; clean and cook fish right on the ice! Despite forgetting a frying pan, everything went very smoothly and it was honestly some of the best fish I've ever eaten...you can't beat panfish fresh out of ice cold water.

Im pretty proud for you brother. Ive done something similar. (Im canadain so i know all about ice fishing) but the best fish ive ever had, aside from a huge amount of smoked Gerard rainbow, was perch, similar, striaght out of the lake, and into the fire wrapped in tinfoil, butter, and some select spices.
