the black dots are grubs/parisites that get in the fishes skin and are caused by the fish being near the bottom with mud.

I night fish at a local reservoir that’s in the middle of nowhere by myself. The spot i go to is about a half mile walk and man do I hear some weird shit at night there. When you’re alone, and it’s pitch black outside your mind really starts to make stuff up lol. My mind always starts with either something paranormal or some animal coming out of nowhere.

On my local lake in Minnesota, they'll start to pick up again 2-4 hours after dark for panfish, and 2-4 before sunrise for walleye and pike. The day bite is okay, mostly little perch and crappies though. Night bite is where it's at though for me.

The black dots in the fish are from the fish eating snail eggs I have seen it in lakes near me when you pull a weed in and there is spall black and green spheres on them and that is what they are eating.

Those dots on the fish is called Neascus. Its a common parasite in shallow dwelling fish species, but has been known to inhabit all types of northern fish. Its really harmless, you can kill it by cooking it to temp, and is safe to eat.

the black spots are a type Snail Larvae , it will hatch out of the fishes skin, then grow a shell. It is the worst thing that happens to a lake when they get spread to it. I have stopped fishing lakes that have them real heavy, and never had them before. I know they spread though minnow use, but also think birds move them also thing is where did they start from. When I was younger I never saw them in a lot of lakes they are in now.
