I found your channel thru tiktok and I'm loving it. I was surprised that the wood was an old utility pole... are they all like that? How do you go about acquiring wood like this?

Do these need to be dried before use? Do you consider them treated because they were already treated when they were made?

They’re dry after being outside for 30-50 years

Thats what I thought. Maybe its hella old and from somewhere very arid. New power poles are nasty but the old ones are worse.

Cedar poles aren't usually treated much above ground level because of their natural rot resistance.
