Old people respect appearances and they hold most of the wealth. 4. If you're going to present on merits alone you better have a billion dollar idea because more often than not investors invest in the person. And if you look incompetent they're just gonna assume you are abd not even give you chance to prove your competence. 5. Most times Only if you have a reputation or money will you get a meeting in jeans and shorts. For the rest of us; My advice. I also believe in casual business attire that might be jeans, and a blazer….the type of blazer depends on the occasion, season and audience….maybe a classic blazer with gold or silver buttons or maybe a casual blazer with the sleeves pushed up also the type of shirt depends on the occasion, season & audience as does the blazer, maybe a collared shirt, and if I want to make it more feminine it might be a silk top / shirt. I believe in dressing “accordingly”. Obviously, I wouldn’t wear business attire to a picnic, not even a company picnic. Michael Jordan is a billionaire….he can literally show up in his robe and slippers, smoking a cigar and people won’t care and will still respect him, listen to him & want to do business with him.
