Oh yah. Big Touring Bikes are great. But little to heavy to get back up & horse around as you age. I sold mines and bought a Heritage Softail. Wonder if they patrol that canyon by air daily weather being good, to check if any vehicle had gone over the side was at the bottom, sure is a long way to the bottom. Good ride & scenery.

rode through that highway many times on labor day weekend. Usually warm enough to ride. However, one year it snowed on all the passes and almost froze. The next morning taking off from Montrose on 50 Highway it was 21 degrees.

that's crazy. being from Florida we rode across Texas and it was high 90's. 2 days later, Hail on the 550. you cant make this up. you have to experience it for yourself on a bike no less. i love that area. thanks for your comment.
