Happy Christmas Olly, nice comparison, I still think the articulated chassis of the quadtrac is better. I appreciate the certain complexity of the pivot steer but better that than the more complex steering axles, universal joints at each track, 4 track rod ends etc etc. The longer track base of the quad is better for heavy draft work too.

Merry Christmas guys👍 Only from a pure looks point of view I prefer the case, to me the Claas shouts it’s a wheeled tractor which has had the wheels removed and tracks fitted. The North West air ambulance landed on a grassed area only 200 meters from our house on Christmas Eve to assist with some poor people involved in a collision, absolute great service which Olly’s video community do a great job in supporting

Good review on both tractors, the Claas is definitely newer technology, but quad track technology is 25 years old or more, thanks to the air ambulance birthday bumper merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Olly. You can drive the Case on a tractor licence, you will needed a tracklayer licence to drive the claas, because you steer the claas with the track ( like a JDRX8)

Merry Christmas Olly The upside about the Xerion compared to the Quadtrack is that you get about the same horsepower but in a more manageable frame for European and British roads and field conditions, whereas the Quad was made with the American market in mind. The price of it is horrendous though, but its a lot better suited for pretty much any field job you can throw at it.

Which 4 track? We have a green one here in Saskatchewan, 9620RX, principally because of proximity to dealers - 20+ miles in different directions to 2 different big multi location dealers. Case and Claas both 75+ miles. Free choice - would go with the Claas, much more fuel efficient but needs more weight for our application. The Cummins in the Deere is very thirsty. Merry what remains of Christmas. More importantly a healthy and prosperous 2025 to all (excepting perhaps the temporary tenants of a certain talking shop in London?).

Hi from Western Australia Class would be my preference... Not knocking the CASE... It's just Class the is a European built tractor and the quality around there is no comparison.. The tracks on the Claas are way more durable and reliable than the tracks on the Case. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄

I guess it's because the Case is articulated in the middle, so its tracks remain parallel to its frame, while the Class has pivoting tracks which need a bit of room to pivot and for the whole direction rods and stuff.

I like your definition of a foot measure. What size boots are you wearing to start with, where as a size 11 is larger than a smaller size 7. An idea to measure the boot size with a tape measure.
