@allisonpeeples36776 күн бұрын
It is. No one should have to validate their opinion by expressing who they are and what background they come from to be heard. If you want to hear a personal experience from any group of people, then you don't exclude anyone. You just listen to them all and then make a conclusion that is fair. What we are seeing has been very unfair, and I don't think that was the intention of any of the best of us.

"White privilege" only exists when you look at people based on groups and not as individuals. The average wealth/income of all white people is higher than the average wealth/income of all black people, which is how they get to the concept of white privilege. This isn’t just from college. This is a widespread belief by a lot of African Americans. They secretly believe that every white American thinks the hard R n word is just floating somewhere in the back of their mind, influencing their motivations. It’s kinda like the weird trend I’ve noticed among most gay people I’ve met and got to know. They all think that literally every heterosexual has a secret gay tendency or has done some homosexual self experimentation or want to. When you build core beliefs away from normal, you feel left out and try to rally others to join you. This is the exact mindset that Christianity preached against for millennia and for good rational reasons even if their explanations for them weren’t objectively provable.
