His wife is experiencing Alzheimer’s sadly, and as he is aging, we should all appreciate and thank Mr Leno for accomplishing this incredible…WORKING…collection. It's not suicide clutch, it's suicide shift, because you have to take your hands off the handlebars to shift. So you would say foot clutch, suicide shift. It's not hard to ride one handed now with paved roads, but when those bikes were built most roads were dirt, so you needed to hang on to the handlebars with both hands.

The Guzzi dark-green dust-bin fairing "V8". I see one cylinder of what appears to be a 90 degree V-Twin. Where are the other six cylinders hiding? Alternatively, If "8" means 800ccs, what is the purpose of announcing the obvious "V" configuration?

Yes. Not the V8 from back in the days, this is a modern road bike with v-twin. The V8 was a pure racing bike.

4:31 Officially, the Megola has what was called a 5 cylinder _rotary_ engine, rather than radial. Since this was before Felix Wankel's invention, a rotary engine was what it says - a engine that rotates. Early aircraft like the Sopwith Camel also used this design, with the entire engine spinning for improved cooling at low speeds. Only later, when engine cooling was improved, did they reverse the installation, fixing the engine to the frame and the prop to the crankshaft.
@tomg.54218 күн бұрын
I saw a video about the aircraft radial engines. There was no carburetor so the only way to control the engine speed was to cut the fuel. Also, they sprayed a ton of oil which was quite a fire hazard for the pilot. I'd like to know how publication was handled on this front-wheel motor!

You’re delusional, Jay rides his bikes as shown here Einstein. And, no one is stopping you from buying one and don’t complain if you don’t have enough money. Many of these bikes would not be running or in the scrap yard if not for guys like Jay willing to put so much money and time into restoring these classics. Jealousy must be miserable.
@roybatty203026 күн бұрын
I take your point about restoring them etc but no one person can really use that number of cars and bikes, that’s just silly. Calling me jealous is also silly, you know nothing about me, grow up.

@ If it’s not jealousy, which I think it is, than it’s just you being whiny and immature……..you’re obviously the one that has some growing up to do kid.
