Stop over filling your oil. Your bike isn't upright so your not getting the correct reading.

I'll share a trick with you. Clean n dry the oil off your motor. Spray foot powder around your valve covers gaskets n hoses. The powder will turn black as soon as it comes in contact with oil. Old Triump riders trick. Stay safe. RMM

Thank you. I'm a disabled veteran here in the states going through a bit of a rough spot. I've had back/spine issues for some time and the pain & stiffness is getting worse. Recent Xrays & MRI'S show deteriorating situation .......... BUT I'm no quitter and your videos keep me going !

@@seH2i Yes I have the same problem. Severe spinal stenosis they call it on me. I’ve had two back surgeries and hip replacement. I still ride dirt bikes in the mountains and I have a Goldwing. I’ll be 73 in July.

Danny, when you checked your oil in Queensland, you had it correct, at full hot mark on jiffy stand, before you overfilled it. I’m telling you mate, it’s really bad for engine to be overfilled with oil.

I’d stop overfilling and let the dipstick run down a bit more before topping up. Overfilled can be worse the underfillled. Great videos Danny.

Exactly! He’s got already too much oil. Engines don’t like it at all. Also, from what I can see (barely) the leak appears to be coming from rubber hose going down from rocker box. It’s hard to say from the video.

Especially on the m8's they have crankcase overpressure issues as it is, overfilling could have a bunch of excess oil spewing into the intake. Glazed pistons ftl.

Just started watching this video, I am not a mechanic, Not uncommon for Harley Motors to spit oil through the breather bolts. Check you air cleaner make sure it is not clogged. To have all over on the top can be coming from the air cleaner. Huge fan love you and the Vlogs.

Danny the small town you stopped in for fuel and fish and chips was Maclean just inland from Yamba. That was the Clarence River Fish Co-Op. That mullet is normally $1.20 but after they found out you were there they upped it to $1.80 (if you know what I mean! 😉) Well done lads enjoying the videos 👍🏻

Danny, tip the oil can over and the air can get to it and it pours smoothly no sloshing . Beautiful area to retire or just enjoy always a good investment for health with the sun and sand let alone financially. Feel your pain mate. Back in March my wife was in Wollongong over my birthday weekend. So decided to ride down there to surprise her. I left Brisbane on Friday 25th after work Road Road to Wollongong. It rain just before Coffs Harbour all the way to Wollongong. Saturday was dry. Then the ride home on Sunday it was raining from Wollongong all the way back home to Gold Coast. it was hell

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but when pouring oil turn the bottle the opposite way and the air flow will help stop it glugging and the oil spilling everywhere Same deal for most containers of liquid with an offset lid

Warped valve cover? It’s a rare thing but it happens. I had oil spraying all over the place too. I had to replace both of mine at the same time on my old 02 Electra Glide. I was hoping it was just a bad gasket but the covers were actually warped. The shop where I ordered them from said they had seen a warped valve cover on an M8 that had recently come in. Gotta love Harley’s! And yeah…. I own two of them.

I heard one of the bikes chirp 3 times when the security system armed itself. If one of you has had the main battery out or the bikes been sitting with a flat battery, the 9 volt battery for the security backup may have gone flat. The three chirps can be a sign of that.
