Plugging motorbike tyres on the Gibb River road was never the plan, I needed to research my my motorbike tyres more before the trip !! They are worn out with still more than 900 kilometers to ride. Candy is getting stressed and physically pushed to her limits, Parry is losing his mind !

You have to install the plug first before you use the slime. The Plugs have to be glued in place in order to be effective. Plugs will slow down a leak a lot. The Adhesive can't work in slime.

Never ever used glue, I’ve done lots of them, especially if the hole is a little bigger, the glue actually lubricates the plug and can push it out before it dries. Each to their own. Never ever had a plug come out. Semi tires , motorcycle, utvs.

@@b-rock4831 It's a Rubber cement glue If you dip one of those plugs into the container of cement it will make the whole bottle of cement turn hard. I have patched and Plugged many tires from Motorcycle car and heavy off road equipment .

In my riding experience, I've never had a plug kit fail. And have never had the schmoo goo work. I always carry a plug kit, even in my car. Unless its a tear, they just work. Also carry a spare tube in my repair bag, that I haven't had to use yet. Never give up! 😊

Danny I worked in the tire business for 15 years and the best temporary fix for punctures is a wood screw. The large screw blades allow the tire fabric to fill in around the metal and slows the leak down tremendously. I carry several sizes with me on my bike. Also, Ride On is a product that works pretty good as long as the puncture is in the tread and it doesn’t make a mess inside the tire. It needs to be installed before you go on a ride as a preventive if you get a puncture.
