It is SO TRUE about eating clean while on the road. I have gained over 40lbs since traveling full time across the U.S. I’m also hyper aware that it’s my responsibility to watch what I eat, but when grabbing a quick burger costs $2 vs. grabbing ANYTHING low carb/calorie (which is basically non existent or costs triple) the decision is made for you. Sturgis made me realize just HOW bad my lifestyle has been… lots have changed now that i’m back home 😅 looking forward to the vlogs man! 👊

I too had no idea how much sugar I was consuming until last Easter. Severe Bad toothache meant no choc or sugar in my cuppas and no snacks of a night. I stuck to that and Now 4 months later I am 20pounds or about 10kgs lighter and loving it without even trying... Who knew?!?

Yep.. I just rolled over 70 and, due to the onset of arthritis in my neck and shoulders, my riding days are now, sadly over. I started my affair with motorcycles in the late 1960's and I have cherished every mile of it. The only thing I regret is getting old.

68 here. My health started to tank a few years ago. Not just old-age arthritis but autoimmune arthritis. Chronic pain, chronic fatigue. Been in the wind since sweet 16 but realized it wasn't doing my Harley any good sitting in the garage so finally let go of her last year. I used to sing in bands etc. but just found out why my voice gets hoarse is because the benign tremor I have in my hands and head is now inside my larynx too! I can no longer carry a tune. Can't even go on easy hikes anymore. But boy do I love MDB's adventures! And being a great-grandma. 😊

Carbohydrates and sugar is what is causing the obesity in USA, I cut them out and easily lost 50lbs, and feel better than ever.

It's more the processed food and sugar than carbs. Carbs are essential. Glad you feel better

It's insulin resistance from eat the wrong carbs and bad sugar at the wrong times. If you workout regularly you need some carbs. Athelets eat a lot of carbs but rarely eat sugar unless right after training.

I do all my food shopping at my local Walmart,I have stated numorous times that Literally over half the shelves are nothing more than Junk Food... Mostly people buy it because it is in most cases cheap to buy and a lot of it is fast food... Everywhere you go in any town you are surrounded by countless junk fast food choices of every kind. Seems that many people have forgotten how to actually cook food 😤🙄. Most of my food shopping is done around the outter perimeter of walmart which means where the refrigerators,fruits and vegetables are located... I became really good at cooking and eating better and less as in moderation 👍😎🇺🇸. I blame the obesity epidemic on the whole system of cheap food,false gimmick advertising,high prices with low wages,too many obtions of easy fast and convenient junk food everywhere around you that makes people lazy and sadly the list goes on... We are programed and brainwashed into believing this this is all normal... But it is A Big Lie that we settled to submit in living with this lie and it is destroying us.... 😢 Sorry for the Ranting...

I rode 4700 miles on this year's round-trip to Sturgis. I would never consider wearing shorts and a 3/4 Helmet when logging any real miles. Not surprised you were exhausted after most days. Great channel, but in my opinion, why make it hard on yourself? Be comfortable and enjoy the ride. Take care and much respect for logging the miles and making the ride!

You missed the some of the most beautiful canyon roads by screaming to Salt Lake on the Interstate system. Arches National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon. Southern Utah might be one of the most beautiful places on this earth.

You are correct with your statement about the obesity epidemic in America. It’s not controversial in my opinion because as an American, I’m living through it. I’m over weight because of my eating habits and the convenience of fast foods all around me. I’m finally taking charge of my health and turning things around but reality says it’s going to take some time.

Rabbit Ears Pass to Steamboat Springs is very scenic. I have only drove it in the Winter where the snow was very deep. Saw Ranchers pulling a sleigh with Draft horses to feed the Cattle . Steamboat is a great Ski Resort.. I think the Clint Eastwood Movies Every Which Way but lose had the fight scene filmed there.

@@franklaskus2395 Watch C-90 Adventures Ed March and his GF rode Honda C-90 Acrost Canada West to East in the Middle of the Winter. They got busted for riding C-90s through Montreal with Studded tires.. they had to hire a tow Truck to haul them out of the City .

Absolutely right about obesity being a problem in the US. Cutting out all sugars and most of the carbs in my diet has been the best thing I’ve done for my fitness level. I’m not even doing strictly. I’m off all my BP meds and I’ve never had this much energy and I’m 55. I wish I had done it years ago.

I lost 46 pounds since April, just by not eating junk food. It’s a challenge to find healthy food in stores but I’ve been doing good so far. Sardines have bailed me out a bunch of times. And no sodas, just water period.
