Especially when it comes to voting. I was born in the UK and so were my parents, grandparents and great grandparents. None of have ever had a passport as we never went out of the UK. When the whole thing of having to provide a passport/drivers licence ID came in to be able to vote I didn't vote because I couldn't due to never having had a passport and not allowed to even learn to drive for medical reasons. There are people in the UK who blame people for not voting when the blame partly lays with the introduction of photo ID to vote.
