Out of every Explomo presentation I've watched since 2019, that humongous palace they explored in Germany with absolutely everything left intact, down to the library, glasses and wigs, this is all you need to know about time capsules, lifespans and decay. I have watched countless youtube videos over the years but never anything as spectacular as this. I was spellbound throughout. Can't help thinking that all the former owners of this property, down the centuries, would appreciate your showcasing their beautiful home with its precious contents, allowing mere mortals like myself a fascinating glimpse into an unobtainable world. I presume you alerted the authorities since filming the video, since you mention in the comments below that the contents of the castle have been secured, and the property is now on the market (most likely already sold?) so it will once again be loved and cared for. Well done to you! A word of advice, always wear a mask when entering moldy premises :-)

Can you go to the county seat to find out to whom the property is registered to, some of those art pieces are extremely valuable and in immediate need of an art conservator, so their value is not lost and others can perhaps see them in an academic sense, it just kills me to see things of such rare and valuable quality neglected. I'm talking about the least expensive things that might be in there. The least the family could've done is secured the property and maintained it properly to prevent the destruction. They could've moved all the art into storage or auctioned off everything and split the proceeds. This is a travesty. What a magical castle.

The room you start to see at 4:55 in their video you see things in that are moving back and forth, appearing , disappearing , and reappearing. the feather cushion on the lounge or chess-say-lam has a dent, no dent ,and a dent. Lesley was kneeling on it a couple times as well as siting on it in the cover photo of his video. Looking at Explomo video things are in different places compared to the 2 back and forth shots in the BOD video. In the Bro of Decay video the room starts to be seen at Thirty-four Thirty-four. Such amazing collections! I didn't think I'd watch the entire video but after seeing the first parlour, I was hooked!

Hermes is the winged warrior, the messenger of the Gods. He was known to be a trickster. The paintings you are casually walking by are stunning works of art, many that should be in a museum, especially the portrait done in the style of Lefevre.

I call it wasted wealth... the wealthy are cheated out of character and values by their extreme wealth, they no longer have a soul. they are still financially wealthy beyond words... when you are that wealthy... continued wealth is like a waterfall... they have zero values, zero character, zero principles and zero regard. The other side are the destroyers of nothing because they have wasted their lives and have nothing, they are the haters who loot, burn, destroy because they are inflicted with self created misery.

This is the 1st video that I have watched of yours, but I quickly subscribed. As someone who doesn't believe in taking what is not mine, another part of me was hearing the treasures cry save me. They must have grown up with enormous wealth to deliberately squander the works of art. The who gets what fight when someone dies always saddens me, but this astounds me.

I see so many things, that I wish I could stop you while you are going through to tell you about, what they are and what somethings are worth. I see an original Caharles Eames lounge chair and ottoman, I see a few paintings that look like old masters, I see what you think is a record player that is actually a large music box, that would have played music on that metal desk. The bronze statue that had wings on its ankles and hat is the Roman God Mercury also called the Greek god Hermès whose staff is a symbol of the medical profession. I’d loved to go through this place, bit by bit and see all the treasures. I hope it does not get looted. An art historian should be allowed to go in and save the important pieces. It’s so sad that it is all going to be lost, stolen or decay into ruin.

Are you an art restorer or an art historian?
@nolachick74743 жыл бұрын
@@troyrawlins8328 No, I am not. I have a degree in Fine Art with a focus on Interior Design. I had two years of Art History, two years of the History of Interior Design and Architecture, two years of the History of Furniture and Textiles. I have repaired/restored some of my family and friends' artwork, jewelry, expensive dolls and a couple of books that all went through Hurricane Katrina floods, and just have always had and interest in it all. When I watch these videos, I just sit there with eyes wide open (and probably my mouth😂). We lost so much of our history and historic art, artifacts and architecture from Katrina when so many historic churches were flooded. Many, many filled with religious art that came from Italy, France, Belgium, etc. that were much older than the churches they were in, so to see, especially the religious art in the chateaux, manors and castles and their chapels almost gives me a slight panicky PTSD. I want to save it all. I am so thankful for the urbexers that are truly, just Documentary Historians. They're capturing so much of a lost way of life. My Interior Designer self, that had to learn each minute detail, name of furniture ornamentation, construction and evolution (from the first stone chairs to Egyptian thrones and chairs to the first true upholstered chairs, bergeres, through the Louis periods all the way up to the horror we have now of composite plastic/wood pulp mimicking wood grain) cringes, seeing the furniture that was once museum quality, decay. The wallpapers and fabrics on furniture fascinate me and I want to lift them and see the historic layers that can tell how well off or how penny poor the great houses were throughout their history. I want to yell at them to stop at certain things, because it’s the tiny details that reveal the history. So, experience? A little. Knowledge? A good bit. Love of it all? Definitely.

@@nolachick7474 Hi. Bros of decay also explored the castle. They show a lot of the artworks and furniture in detail. I love being able to watch this video, though I am also saddened by the possibility that videos such as this provide a proverbial shopping-list for thieves, making them aware. I hope this family comes to their senses soon, while the contents are still relatively untouched. As someone who has dabbled in antiques over the many years, I cannot even begin to imagine what the contents of this estate would be worth; especially with the possibility of valuable paintings/prints/etc. I've also noticed that there were some architectural details, removed from elsewhere, and unless there was some significance to them, I doubt that they would be displayed in such a fashion, within this collection. Great find, though I fear for the contents in the long term...
