As a MILLWALL fan in his 7th decade of attending,I feel like crying @ 6.30am on the edge of South East London. That was my Millwall. Lawrence on the Wing. O'Callaghan is on the wing. Jimmy Carter is on the wing. 3 Top Class Winners.Non-Stop Football with British players and MIRACULOUSLY no feigning of injuries. Crowds on all FOUR sides, on top of the pitch. Great communal atmosphere.Hurlock and Briley bossing the midfield with 2 genuine Internationals in Cas and Sheri upfront.

With millwall crowd occupying all 4 sides of stadium where were the away supporters?

@@georgesullivan4473 Hello GeorgeThey were poked in a far corner on the right-hand side in The Ilderton Road End. As you will see if you watch the 3-minute video Millwall 2 Norwich 3 from that same year and to make it even more intimidating for The Officials and opposition, the fans were right on top of the pitch, especially the side you can't see, properly, under the camera. I think this KZbin clip eas the essence of old Millwall.

Big shout out to the pikeys who got their arses chopped in the street end 73,any of those lads still around today, would love to hear their version of events,I was an 11 year old in the boys pen remember them coming in the side entrance ( bullens road) of the street end,I reckon it was a bad mistake, history tells why, been having banter with a gobshite called Michael, (you'll see his comments on this page) he reckons Millwall took the piss after the game, all I remember was them getting twatted all the way down scotty road,to be honest they had a go,but it didn't end well for them,my biggest memory is of a middle aged scouse housewife tending to one of the victims she was covered in his blood but wouldn't let anyone finish him off,I wonder if she's still alive? fair play to her, any Millwall fans out there remember the sketch?,no not you mickey ffs!

Thanks for uploading this, great stuff. I'm an Evertonian and yeah we lost this game, but I always enjoy watching pre-Sky football regardless. Never saw the game at the time as it wasn't televised apart from very brief footage of the goals. Can I please ask whether you have an original video with more footage from the game. I have a few official club highlights videos from around that time (unfortunately I've not got the return game at Goodison for you) and they tend to be around 58 minutes long. Have you edited out Everton's goal and other bits from the game?

After 30 instantly forgettable years at our All Seater Stadium (ASS).. Have to stay seated in the same place and get frozen. Openings on all 4 corners so the noise seeps out. Banks of empty seats at The Away End. Dismal Football with a ton of similar midfielders all scoring 2 goals a season. One small striker outnumbered and one classy player in Fleming with Jed Wallace being sold to a worse team. Millwall 3 Everton 2 , Millwall 4 West Ham 1 in 29 years. Just a MID table Club going nowhere fast:(

You mean banks of empty seats all over the stadium , i firmly believe that if you'd stayed at the old den Millwall would have grown in stature as a force - the ground was as good as two extra quality players in your team - when you moved , the soul of the club was ripped apart - something died spiritually & things on the pitch have never been quite the same since before 93 . Everton will regret moving grounds and if Leeds ever move from Elland road i will wash my hands with the game . Too Disney world for me today .

@@trippy1198 ONE MILLION % right,m8. I feel sorry for younger generations not experiencing Millwall fans,on top of the pitch,on all 4 sides of the stadium, like The Old Den, hence breaking The F L record by going 59 Home games unbeaten between 1964-66 and the crowd pulled them thru' time and again. That same team lost 22 Away games during that same period. Leeds are a larger, Northern equivalent of Millwall(and more successful) .Good Luck.
