They always do, they don’t have a winning mentality. Been walking out of the ground for years with ten mins to go for those very reasons. It’s the capitulation, the manner of the defeat that hurts. The club is always wanting out support, to make the Den a fortress like atmosphere. The contract is always one sided. I felt today that the players just gave up, they had no appetite to win, to fight for the playoff spot. I’m questioning why I even bother anymore.

Thanks for all your entertaining Vlogs this season.Of Course,; I'm down HOWEVER, at the moment, we are not good enough and, although we have the nucleus of a good Championship Squad, we are a million miles away from being able to not embarrass ourselves in THe Prem. A virtual new squad would be needed.I have, FOR ONCE, no criticism of Rowett, He put out the attacking team that he had to and I predicted 3/1 with Watmore and Burke scoring. What I did not see coming was Blackburn having the audacity to attack us and expose our weaknesses with Diaz completely running the show just like Alexander of Sunderland and Olivier Ntcham of Swansea. It's for the best in the short term Guys.

As a Sunderland fan it went our way for once but we've experienced crushing disappointment as Sunderland fans, so I know how it feels. Who knows what these next 2 games could bring for us. You just have to dust yourselves off and go again next season like every other team. I expect next season to be tougher for every team in the league, so I see this as a huge chance for us in the playoffs.

Thanks, Guys, for ALL your great "Drive Home" videos this season. A very disappointing end to the season, but again, we ARE punching well above our weight in this league and to finish eighth again is still a very good achievement. To push on in this league we really do need some big investment in the team over the summer because next season the Championship is likely to be stronger, with the likes of Ipswich, Plymouth, and the three ex Premier league teams joining next season. Got what we deserved, we lose to Wigan, we lose to hull and we got lucky at Blackpool, all bottom sides. We could’ve been home and dry in a play off spot but we just aren’t good enough and frankly we would’ve been embarrassed in the play offs like against Derby all those years ago. Todays second half performance was shameful.

Been a pleasure listening to all your unbiased comments & opinions of the games. To be honest we huffed & puffed and at times played very well but so inconsistent especially in the last 10 games. Think I said in Jan the best we could hope for is the 7th but after today had to settle for 8th. The Den wasn't a fortress this at the end. Terrific atmosphere and God save the King. Showed up the Muppet Scousers. I to think this lot will struggle next season, we need to shuffle the pack. Have a grwat summer guys & yeah please do a season summary of trips 👍🦁

Great video boys we lost that game on our right hand side in the 2nd half with Burke and Danny Mac not dealing with Berretton Dias giving him to much room and our big players never produced ie flemming i think we will struggle next season let’s hope I am wrong

Definitely need to replace George Long. Bart should be first choice and we need another keeper. A few other areas need addressing too. We were nearer relegation form towards the end of the season.

Fair play for nominating Diaz ahead of your own. Every Championship club wish they had a striker like him. Blackburn had a poor run of form also but bottom clubs can beat top clubs so no disgrace. That's why the Championship is such a competitive league.

TT disagree with the bereton curler mate. That looked to me curls into the MIDDLE of the goal. Long mistake for 3 of them goals and Bart simply saves all 3 imo. well done this season boys, watch all the videos and look forward to more next season. I am just thankful we had George Long in goal all season, if not, we would’ve been relegated. The big concern now is keeping him. I imagine there will be a host of top clubs trying to sign over the summer.

9 points from the last 30 available points is why we didn't make the play-offs. We should have been like Luton, comfortably safe in the play-offs a couple of games ago. I'm not as disappointed as I thought I would be that we didn't make the play-offs because I've seen enough of us over the last 15 matches to know we wouldn't be good enough to beat either of Boro/Luton & then win the final. Even last night at 1-1, Blackburn were well on top and looking more likely to score. We only got the edge due to an absolute gift of a goal by Blackburn. The concern is that we don't spiral downwards next season, as we haven't had a decent performance since Sheffield United. Even the 1-0 wins against Reading/Stoke were an element of smash & grab backs against the wall. I would take mid-table next season again with a focus on bringing younger players to the club. A lot of our core players are the wrong age of 30 or approaching the wrong age of 30. One comment on yesterdays game; George Long.... I said to my friend after we played Hull; if we changed goalkeepers with Hull we would have beaten Hull 2 or 3 nil. They were good strikes yesterday, but none of them were settling in the top or far corner. Too many long strikes are creeping in. None of the fans from his previous clubs rate him at all. When he made the mistake against Sheffield United, the comments from the Sheff fans was; "Long hasn't improved then"

To be fair to Rowett,I don't think,he did sit back as he kept all those attackers on but Blackburn decided to have a real go,on the basis,if they can't go up,they are going to drag us down like Quicksand. They are one of our many "Bogey" teams winning 10/13 and they even won 4/1 at The Old Den when we were crowned Champions of this division in the last gane of the season.

We threw it away in the last four games losing to the bottom teams. Rowett should have started eith the team thst beat Blackpool. Dannymac is becoming a liability every game losing the ball hes reached his level and this aint it and Long couldn't stop a shot for his life Archer mk2 Rowetts subs were a mistake best we need a change of direction. I was In the Den and I was really ready, in the 72nd minute, to go in and hit the thieve, which we have as a coach. He is absolutely responsible that we lost today and we will not live the dream of the play offs in this year. What kind of inspiration did the idiot has by making substitution the MVPs of the match Burke, Watmore? Is it possible to win 3-1 in the first half and to lose the game LOSER Rowett?
